Today I did very good. I charged it briefly and I used WiFi in the evening. Dunno what’s happening. I’m also traveling so maybe reception here is different

Yours is a 13 Pro? Maybe the Reset All Settings has helped. It looks like you are getting really great battery life.

Since I did that my battery life on my 13 Pro Max is pretty much back to where it was, impressive.

Maybe it is good to do a Reset All Settings once in a while.

I did yeah. 13P. Some days are great other are average. I just now also switched off hey Siri, switched off raise to wake and removed all widgets. Curious if it will change anything

iPhone 13 Pro continues to be amazing for me.

iOS 15.1, Wi-Fi on, 5G auto on, auto brightness on.

And what do you do in Safari? Browse without much scrolling?

I noticed that which app and how they're used is far more important than hours of SoT.

Also I think that starting the day with 100% with intense use and little standby time makes the SoT soar. Of course for a light user like me the standby time uses battery too, and this leads to less exciting SoT times when considering 2 or 3 days.

Also frequent brief charging during can skew the stats. We know that the first 5% from the charge is not reported by the system, and I suspect that it isn't counted in the stats either. So theoretically if I do small 5% charges every few hours I can go for tens of SoT with 0% battery use. This is just a theory though.

I do a lot of scrolling on forums and reading online articles or books mostly through safari.

I only charge while I sleep and never touch a charger in the day.

It’s night and day compared to my old 12 Pro, I had to put it on charge most evenings just so I could use it before bed.

I use Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube and discord a fair bit as well.

I’ve used about 1.5 hrs SoT and I’m a 80% on a 13 Pro Max. I can’t figure how some are getting such good battery life. I’ve done every optimization online. Only dark mode. No 5g and mostly on Wi-Fi. ?‍♂️

Not sure that it will always work that way. For instance, I charged to 81% and the battery percentage dropped to 80% after an hour. It does not seem to follow any pattern that I can tell. Sometimes it is longer, others times shorter length of time. I have had cases where the battery percentage did not drop for 5 or more hours. I try to not charge beyond 81% if possible.

I estimate that you had 2:55, 20% battery used. Estimate to 100% battery usage 14:35. That is impressive battery life. The light blue (screen off/background) is also consuming battery and should be added in to the total battery usage.

So light blue is background lile amazon music as an example? Reason why I ask it seems this app has been consuming a decent amount of my battery listening to it lately with screen off. Maybe there was a change in the app.

Last night iPhone 13 Pro charged up to 96% at about midnight. By 0730 it was 75%. 20% seems way too much drain. Major battery-using app seems to be Home app "accessories."

What type of accessories? My Home app accessories are an Apple TV HD, Ecobee thermostat and a Wemo smart plug.

I have no idea what is causing it. I re-setup my HomePod 2 days ago(?). Apple TV 4K G2 (with thread), Logitech Circle View, Hue and Lutron bridges, and a few thread-based Eve products. None of this is new. Thread should all be talking to the ATV, so that's not it. Hue and Lutron have been here for 2+ years. I see some complaints about Home app on apple discussions, but no useful responses.

I’ve got my iPhone 13 Pro Max for just a few days now, but I have been noticing that - compared to all the reviews and some of the posts here - battery life is … well, I don’t know actually whether it’s good.. But to me it doesn’t seem to be anything near some of the claims. What do you guys make of this? At 31% here at 11 PM.

I should mention that I did put a backup on it, but I wonder whether this can make that huge of a deal. Also read about resetting just your settings being one solution, but that raises the same question to me: is it really going to make a noticeable difference?

I mean, I can make it through the day without much of an issue. But it feels like a bare upgrade from my iPhone 12 Pro, especially considering my heaviest usage of today was shooting some pictures for aan half hour straight.

Pretty disappointed now, so I hope anyone might have a solution. ?

Shooting pictures is literally the heaviest thing you can do with you phone. Is it that steep descent in the middle of the day? Also we’re you on LTE or WiFi?
