Good Lord these things are expensive. But man, are they worth every penny for those that use them to the limit.

I get my iPhone from work (so it's free) but I'll be locked down on a 12 Pro (wish it was a Max; I got old eyes too) for at least three years.

Congrats on you who get to enjoy that 120Hz screen. Just my luck my upgrade cycle landed where it did... :(

But even so this 12 Pro is too much phone for me. I'd never justify the high price for my use-type.

I wonder what the iPhone 16 will bring to the table... I mean, there is only so much you can do with these things at this point.

We're BEYOND Star Trek tricorders already.

I hope this can get corrected because I'd be annoyed to lose out on the 3% cash back for an issue on Apple's end with their own cards.

Oh, I'd think Apple will provide appropriate compensation if the fault is on their side.

I’m seriously impressed that Apple is offering $790 trade-in value for iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is $150 more than iPhone 12 Pro even.

That almost makes me want to want to switch to iPhone 13 Pro Max since I’ll probably upgrade again next year but I still feel like I want to try the smaller size.

Not that this affects me currently since I just spent $240 to use iPhone SE for five months, which is a life experiment I don’t regret.

My Applecard didn’t work either.

Did the pre-approval to upgrade my current iPhone to their upgrade program Wednesday.

This morning I tried to order 3 times. Error message kept coming up. I used a Chase visa and the order went through right away. Is there a way to change payment option afterwards? Or can I just pay with the Apple card when I pick up at the store?
Not sure about the initial payment (the one you make today for 1st payment and taxes), but once you get your account info from Citizen's One you are able to change the payment to AppleCard and start getting the 3%. Hope this helps!

I'm guessing Apple made a lot of iPhones.
It is amazing that they were able to ramp up production so dramatically with the chip shortages the industry is facing, but I suppose that hasn’t significantly affected their supply chains and the design is based on iPhone 12 so they likely started production a few months ago.

Pre Order made buying super fast and easy (45 seconds). No more waking in the middle of the night, waiting, and sometimes issues Thank you Apple for making a better experience taking my $$$

Also like how Macrumors will publish anything Prosser might say, but then there's a thread of 350 posts of people getting their Apple Card bounced by the Apple store and they don't even have an article up on it.
I've noticed several threads in the past, with tons of posts that in my opinion should have been front page but never made it? ninetofive already has it as front page!

Feeling this so hard. I’ve always had poor eyesight (-14.50 and -9.50) that’s been stable since my early 20s but it’s definitely getting worse now that I’m 30+. Going from 11 Pro Max to 12 Pro has made me notice it more too so back to Max size for me too.

Going to get that MagSafe PopSocket a go and hope for the best.

i thought mine was bad at -6.00 and -5.75! Even considering laser surgery! Also in my early 30s.

Just noticed on my account that if I were to purchase a Pro Max today that I’d get $500 off the total cost of the phone! I’d actually be paying less per month than my 12 Pro. I wonder how long this promo will last?

YEA!!! so did I!!!!! UGHHHHH
I talked to Apple Support and they said I should use a different card to order (which I did and it worked) and then to call Citizens One and change it to the Apple Card.

What they did not tell me was that 1) The initial payments go on my personal card and don't quality for that sweet 3% (boo) and 2) Citizens One has a 2 hour wait to talk to anyone.

I‘m on the iPhone Upgrade program. I did pre-approval a few days ago. I attempted to complete the order this morning. It kept telling me there was an issue with my credit card information. After entering it for a 3rd time I got a message that that I wasn’t approved and Citizens One would be sending an email telling me why. WTF.

EDIT: from reading comments here I guess I need to use a different credit card and then switch it back to Apple Card. That’s a PITA. 😬

Just contact Apple support chat - couldn't help me cancel one of the pre-orders.
Phoned Apple support - unable to cancel one of my pre-orders.

Apple your ****ing useless glitchy website put through two orders and now your support and online page won't let me cancel one of them. What a **** ordering experience.

Yes, but you can switch to you Apple Card via the Citizens loan website once the info on your new loan is up to date.
UPDATE
Just got the email from Citizens One.
and your recurring monthly payment of $61.16 will be automatically charged to your card on file.

So looks like going forward they will use my AC.......

Since Tuesday I tried to get my order of two iPhone Pro Max's setup through the Veterans and Military store so I could receive my 10% discount. I spent hours on the phone with Apple telling them that the link on their website was non functional. I was told that they knew about it and would have it fixed before today. Ha! I checked shortly before the site was shutdown, and it still didn't work.

Which means I had to log in this morning and go through the steps of ordering both phones separately to get them added to my 'bag'. That part didn't take too long until about 5:10a PDT, and got a lot slower by 5:12a when I finally got to 'check out'. At this point I was told that I could only have one "carrier" iPhone in my bag/order at a time, but some number of sim free phones - the number of which I have forgotten.

Because my phone number wasn't recognized by Verizon, it wouldn't have mattered. But I wanted to make sure. So I created a second order to get my phone, which will be coming sim free anyway. Thanks Verizon for not recognizing my number as being one of yours.

The bottom line is that I got both phones ordered by 5:12a and both have an Oct 6- Oct -11 by standard delivery date. I found out that the delay was because both phones are coming with 1Tb of storage.

I forgot to mention that clicking on the "Apple Pay" button did not work for me.

However, since my Apple One subscription and iTunes purchases are setup to use my Apple Card, I was able to purchase everything with my Apple Card by clicking on my "card on record" which only showed the last four of the card's numbers - i.e. my Apple Card.

I just talked to Apple Support and the guy said they’re working on fixing the card issue and to try again in a half an hour. The app was still showing me a Sept 24 delivery date.

That was a nightmare. Australia here. We opened at 10pm and it kept bouncing me trying to make payment saying “process has not been completed”. My wife was trying also. We got a 1000mb connection (the fastest I’ve ever had) and we had to try for about 35mins. Despite the error messages and no orders showing up in my App Store - I got billed twice !! So I have 4 iPhone Pro Max (2x graphite and 2 x blue) on their way. Good lord.
I’m super excited to be getting this upgrade. Not sure if the rumour is true but the battery is supposed to be very very good.
I was also torn about getting such a big phone, however, I was either gonna get a regular phone and an iPad mini, but given how nice a package the pro is this year, and how I’m sure I’m going to be working from home at least intermittently for the next year, I’ll live with it. Worse case I just bring the headphones and AW if needed. Also keen to see this blue in real life. With the pandemic it’s the first time I’m buying having not seen it in real life. Hope everyone’s orders goes smoothly!!

I haven't skipped a yearly iPhone upgrade in a long, long time. Looks like I'll be doing that this year.

T-Mobile wants us to pay tax upfront and I'm not going to pay nearly $200 today (2 phones) for an upgrade from the 12 Pro to the 13 Pro when there isn't much difference between the two phones. Guess we'll wait until the 14 Pro next year.

Preorder went fine, but for some reason it used a 5 year old shipping address instead of my current one or my billing address. Hopefully they will let me edit that before it ships.

Well… I’m that person this year. I have the wrong shipping address. I even went in and changed the shipping address yesterday. Buuut, I paid with Apple Pay and it put in that shipping address. We’re moving next week and needed it shipped to the new house 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ I even hit cancel because I saw the address the last second. Too late 😐

bruhh! $790?! that's basically $800 and I was planning to sell my 128GB for $850/$900. I'm definitely just going to trade in at Apple and then cancel my AppleCare+ and get back the remaining $130.
