Wait until your eyes get old, like mine.

Feeling this so hard. I’ve always had poor eyesight (-14.50 and -9.50) that’s been stable since my early 20s but it’s definitely getting worse now that I’m 30+. Going from 11 Pro Max to 12 Pro has made me notice it more too so back to Max size for me too.

Going to get that MagSafe PopSocket a go and hope for the best.

Even better, Apple says due to high call volume, to use Chat to talk to customer service.

When you do that, you get this:

Thank you for contacting Apple. Due to extremely high volumes, we are unable to answer your chat at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try to chat again later. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Couldn't get my Applecard to work (neither did the wife's). Had to use Amex
My Applecard didn’t work either.

Did the pre-approval to upgrade my current iPhone to their upgrade program Wednesday.

This morning I tried to order 3 times. Error message kept coming up. I used a Chase visa and the order went through right away. Is there a way to change payment option afterwards? Or can I just pay with the Apple card when I pick up at the store?

I can see that for some uses and certainly pocket ability, but I'm willing to put up with the bulk for the better UI experience. When I pick up a normal iphone size it feels like a toy.
From a UI perspective, there is no difference between the regular and Max sizes - which is my biggest complaint about them. I had the iPhone 6 and 8 Plus and liked them, but I went with the iPhone XS rather than the Max. I ordered a 13 Pro and didn't even consider the Max because it'll fit easier into my pocket and give me the same capabilities.

What the heck!!!

I had everything ready, approved with the iPhone Upgrade Program, and when I checked out, I got a message that there was a problem with Citizens One, and I wasn’t able to order. I. Am. Pissed. This has never happened before.

Edit: I switched cards and it went through immediately. Something is wrong with the Apple Card. Bad timing, to say the least.
Same thing happened to me!

Anyone care to decipher this part of the article for me?

"The iPhone 13 mini is the most affordable of the new iPhones, priced at $699, while the iPhone 13 mini is priced at $799."

The night before pre-order, on my iPhone in bed,
Do I get the Pro Max, or the Pro instead?
The pre-order is set, I can now go to sleep,
But what of my 12, should I sell it or keep?

The day is here! I'm ready to order!
The app or website, which wait will be shorter?
Refreshing like mad, there's no time to waste,
The page finally loads, my order is placed!

Now to Mac Rumors, to share how I fared,
Only to find the prepared have despaired.
"The iPhone Upgrade Program has let me down!"
I'll try my luck at the Apple Store in town."

Next week on Wednesday the reviewers will drop,
Thoughts on the iPhone, a win or a flop?
What about colors? My choice I rethink.
Don't ask Justine; she always says pink.

Now a week later, the wait I can't stand,
I have a Pro Max right here in my hand.
The excitement wanes quickly, for now that I squint,
What the hell? Is that a green tint?

Back to MacRumors, "Is it only me?"
It's definitely there, we all can agree.
Maybe they'll fix it with a point one update.
"Is it software or hardware?" will be the debate.

This week is my favorite that's not holiday,
The kid in me can come out to play.
Few understand this, and yet we are proud,
The nerds, the geeks, the Mac Rumors crowd.
Brilliant!!! Brought a much needed laugh.

Also like how Macrumors will publish anything Prosser might say, but then there's a thread of 350 posts of people getting their Apple Card bounced by the Apple store and they don't even have an article up on it.

use the physical number located in wallet app. thats what I did
Well yeah, I did that. Over and over. It gave me no other option. There was no other option. No button to select Apple Pay which I thought was weird. Just enter your card info so I had to copy the number from the wallet app. And even after doing so would immediately delete the security code I just entered and told me I had to enter valid card information. It recognized right away it was an Apple Card, it put the logo next to it once it put in the card info. But would then half the time delete what I just entered telling me to put in something valid.

I've been in the Apple iPhone upgrade program for a few years now and was impressed the last few years how easy the process has been. But obviously something strange happened this year. I hope this can get corrected because I'd be annoyed to lose out on the 3% cash back for an issue on Apple's end with their own cards.

I am so confused - why do so may people order the Pro Max? It’s too big for single handed text entry, and it’s as heavy as an iPad mini! (Especially these year’s models which are the heaviest on record?) Aren’t the 13 Pro and Pro Max same in every way except size / weight / bloat?

The size is exactly why I get it. I like the largest screen size possible. If they ever release an iPad Pro mini, I’d be happy to replace my iPhone with it.

Am I the only one that’s usually tempted by the Max-sized phones that ordered iPhone 13 Pro this year? It seems like the right balance of features and size, especially since the camera system is the same.

This is also a slightly odd observation but I feel like the Sierra Blue color looks best on the smaller 6.1” body, while Pacific Blue looked best on the Max.

I may change my mind and switch to the Max once I have it in-hand or even when I go to pick it up since they usually have stock for walk-ins. For now I’m happy with my choice.

I also got the same response when I spoke with Goldman Sachs customer support. They said that everyone was trying to place their orders at the same time. Well, yeah, that's what you do at a major product launch. Just seems like they should have beefed up their infrastructure for such an event.
I and a few others said the day that it was announced that Goldman Sachs was the banking partner for the card....it was a big mistake. For two main reasons.....no experience in this type of business and their disgusting, immoral and reprehensible actions which substantially led to the 2008 financial crash and the ruination of thousands if not millions of lives. So todays fiasco is not a surprise at all.

Every model except the 1TB is still available for launch day, hours after launch. Guess not a lot of people want this one.

I’d take a Pro Max over an iPad Mini since I prefer having the best of all of Apple’s latest technologies, and IMO it’s the perfect size in comparison to a mini tablet since it’s still pocketable making it easy to transport.
