The check out process wasn’t entirely smooth. At first it wouldn’t let me use my Apple Card for the initial payment and I had to scrabble in the dark to find my wallet and another card (sorry, dear wife). Second, it then said there was a problem with my Apple upgrade plan (which had already peen pre-approved earlier in the week. I had to cancel and begin again but eventually it went through. 😰

Was able to get an iPhone 13 Pro Max 512 Graphite! Very smooth this year. Wonder what the demand looked like.

Definitely wasn’t smooth here. Got both pickup on launch but there were glitches galore along the way.

Having the same issue with the Apple Card. Tried calling Apple Support. Got an automated message telling me they can't help me at this time and to visit the website to place my order! Ugh. This is the exact type of situation why I feel I have to have a second credit card as backup.

Was anyone able to get a master card to work? My applecard kept failing so I switched to a non-apple master card that got the same messages. After that I tried Amex and no issue.

Yep, I had this problem. I couldn’t get my Applecard to work and it wasn’t automatic in the app as it was when a bought a new phone for my wife last month. Had to switch to a visa for it to go through

Switched to phone app and got it done with 24 Sep delivery. I'm such a nerd to get up at 0500 to complete an order for a phone lol.

I had this issue too. Just got an email confirmation FINALLY. After about 10 min? Best of luck. This preorder has been very Wild West for loyal fans.

I had the same issue as many— ordered 13 Pro Max 1TB. from my bag, tried to use ApplePay several times, but got an error. Just when I went searching for my card linked to ApplePay, it suddenly went through.

But then, it didn’t disappear from my shopping bag. For several minutes. And no email.

But finally, it disappeared from the bag.

Then, I couldn’t see that I had made the order. Eventually, it appeared in the list of orders on the “my order status” page.

BUT — pressing on “Order Status” gave an error that “Orders are not available at this time. Please try again later.

Just now (20 minutes later) I got an email confirming the order. Delivery set for October 6-11 (fine by me).

I fall into the multiple fail's with the Apple card before switching to another card and it finally going through. Crazy that you cant pay for the upgrade balance with an Apple card in the apple store.

Not sure this is true. Due to the Apple Card issue I couldn't finish until 8:20AM Eastern, and Delivery for the Graphite 256GB Pro Max had already slipped to early/mid October.

Interesting. I switched from the Apple Card to a Visa, which worked, but now I’m curious as to whether it’s an Apple Card problem or a Mastercard network issue.

My Apple Pay (Apple Card) order failed the first time. Came back and tried again and it worked. Smoother than last year.
