According to Apple's site, AT&T will be giving $1000 credit for an iPhone 11 PRO MAX trade-in. Leaves a $399 balance (for the iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB) and $11/mo for 36 months. I like that! :) I certainly can't sell my iPhone 11 for $1000...

My work reimburses me for phone expense so it will be no cost to me. No reason not to get the TB.

But if you exit early, you owe the remainder. It's a contract by any other name.

"To get all credits, device must remain on agreement for entire term and you must keep eligible service on device for entire installment term."

Which Pro users are going to keep this for a full 36 months until iPhone 16?

AT&T makes out when people upgrade early. Which is, basically, everyone.

Yes, even for me that has enjoyed most Apple events I struggled with this one.

There's a real lack of innovation. I like the improvements to the camera on the iPhone 13 Pro, but is it enough to tempt me to spend £1500 on a 512 GB model with Apple Care+? I've upgraded every year since iPhone 4, but this year I am not so sure.

I am asking myself what would I gain from upgrading from the 12 Pro to the 13 Pro, and ultimately not very much at all. Certainly not £1500's worth of new features.
This is why I upgrade phones every 24-30 months.
I used to do it every year, but found that - with iPhone Xs and 12, for example - the battery was rubbish, and the 11 (and now) 13 have bigger batteries...

Tick and tock. Tock wins.

I think it's me just getting older but I really don't care anymore. Bought a SE last year, paid in full with Apple Care + and it was still less than $500 USD. (I traded in my 7 + as part of the deal). I also use an SLR for my photos.

Baby Blue anyone?

Tend to agree it’s an “S” year, however just sold my 12 Pro Max over the weekend so will be picking the 13 Pro Max up. Disappointing colours, definitely a mis-fire on the blue colour, gold too bling, silver not my style which leaves graphite.

Another year not to upgrade from iPhone X 😑
Yep the same for me had my iPhone x since launch and this still not worth the upgrade for me. I thought i was watching a show about a camera and not a phone buy the end. the camera bumps are Hugh. looks like another year with my iPhone x and would take me to 5 years. apple you need to do better but if the rumours are true about the next version i am very tempted by that.

Underwhelmed by iPhone 13, hold on to 12 Pro max ... even Apple Watch 7 seems like it wasn't much of a upgrade...only thing that seemed notable was iPad Mini... the rest was blah.. You know when they spend most of the time talking about the chip set rather than the features.. it's more of an S model upgrade at best.
Not just that even the whole tone and energy you can tell its a underwhelming presentation

Apple today announced that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are available with up to 1TB of storage, which is the largest storage capacity ever offered in an iPhone. The storage option is not cheap, with the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB of storage priced at $1,599 in the United States, making it the most expensive iPhone ever.

Four storage capacities are available for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, including 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

Key features of the iPhone 13 Pro models include a ProMotion display with a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz, a smaller notch, a faster A15 Bionic chip, longer battery life, several camera improvements, expanded 5G connectivity, and more.

All four iPhone 13 models will be available to pre-order starting this Friday, September 17 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time, and all the devices will launch one week later on Friday, September 24. There's a new Sierra Blue color available for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max in addition to the existing Silver, Gold, and Graphite finishes.

… and yet apple will still inky give you the same amount of space to backup too as when iCloud first launched.

I was holding out for this announcement to see if it was finally time to upgrade my phone. Honestly, I'm not very impressed with the iPhone 13 and may just continue to use my iPhone 6 plus for another year...
I did not think someone would still keep using an iPhone 6 Plus... I guess you did not find iPhone 6S Plus a noticeable upgrade or whatever the reason is...

iPhone 6S series is the best classic iPhone that still has the headphone jack and also because of A9 chip...

Of course they would say you know what’s better than increasing the price by $100 increments for every storage tier like previous, increasing the price by $200 for the top two highest options. Like really, can they not sacrifice a single percent of profit margin. I’m sure next year’s model will be at least $100 more expensive anyway so we have that to look forward to.
The price of storage is like 0.5 percent if even

Yeah many don’t realize they reduce the battery from 11-12

Staying with 12 Pro Max. Nothing announced to convince me to upgrade.
Do you honestly think Apple was marketing to iPhone 12 owners? I never understand this mentality. Every year the same thing is said. People with the previous model think Apple's new product is being sold to them. No. New models are marketed to owners much older iPhones or first time iPhone buyers.

Well, one of the “most” descriptors is true. This snooze fest lead to the most EXPENSIVE iPhone ever.

Funny thing is I might bite to go from a 12 Pro to a 13 Pro max just because I want the max now and Verizon will upgrade me with no change in my bill (less the difference between the pro and the pro max).

Not rushing to pre order, though.
Good thing because they'll be sold out on preorder day. 😉

I thought we weren't supposed to mount our phones to motorcycles or scooters because it can screw up the camera yet the new commercial has a delivery guy with his iphone mounted to a scooter. Must have been using a dampening mount. From the previous Macrumors post "Apple even recommends that users mounting their devices to lower-powered devices like mopeds and electric scooters at least use a vibration-dampening mount to minimize the chances of any damage."
Pretty sure Apple was referring to when the iPhone is camera mode. They mentioned the OIS getting screwed up from massive vibration. People do use the iPhone for GPS as well.

No, they meant sensor itself can be damaged any time if it’s subjected to enough vibration. I don’t see why it would matter if you were actively using the camera. The hardware is still being jostled either way.
