Has anyone else noticed what Apple did with the size of the items in the status bar? They just blew them up instead of keeping the same size as the 12PM and adding battery percentage or some other information. I’m not a fan.
it's a max lol bigger is better, looks fine to me.

I haven't read anybody else's posts yet, but I've got to say I LOVE IT!! I came from the 11 Pro Max which was still a great phone. I traded it in for $500, almost half off the new 13 Pro Max, and new to me, I bought the phone outright. First time that I didn't lease a phone. It was totally worth skipping the 12.

My favorite feature has to be ProMotion. The screen is so smooth. I also noticed when watching YouTube videos that the speakers are WAYYYYY improved.

Addressing complaints I heard from reviewers before release, the number 1 complaint I heard was that the phone was too heavy and hard to hold. The first thing I noticed when picking up a demo model is it felt the exact same weight as my 11pm. I used a pop socket on my 11pm because of the weight, but I got used to it.

I bought the apple silicone case and I notice that it is much more grippier than in the past, and I noticed that between that and the flat edges on the side of the phone make it very easy and comfortable to hold.

Camera is phenomenal. I took a few pictures and they came out great. I'm not going to share them because the subjects were boring and non-colorful. I did notice that the camera module must be at least twice the size of the 11pm.

My only complaint is that the auto brightness seems wayyyyyy too dim. I've been sliding the brightness up manually all day.

Here's my 128 GB Sierra Blue 13 Pro Max. Pardon the chopping board it's laid on - I was in the kitchen when I unboxed it. It's the least dusty room of the house, and I wanted to try putting the screen protectors on the moment I got it out the box (which was an epic fail because I suck at it).

I'm really pleased with the phone itself, but unfortunately my setup experience was marred by many major struggles getting my iPhone 12 to transfer data across to it (and later, a debacle getting my Apple Watch to pair with it). I won't go into it because it was such a saga I'd be here all day, just know it's up singing and dancing now.

Wow, the ProMotion display is quite something isn't it? I have used ProMotion displays on the iPads since they were introduced in 2017, so I was expecting to be like 'looks cool, just what I expected'. But somehow it still managed to pleasantly surprise me. I guess the smaller screen and OLED really does make ProMotion shine even more than it already did. I actually feel like the phone is a portal to some other world or something, that's the illusion it gives me and the best (worst) way I can describe it.

I went back to my iPhone 12 after having had a few hours with the 13 Pro, and it felt so juddery by comparison, despite the fact 60Hz on the iPhone has always felt fine to me until now.

I really have backed myself into a corner now though! I don't think I'd ever be able to switch back to an iPhone without ProMotion, and if it remains a Pro exclusive feature (like on iPad), I'll always have to penny up for the Pro every time I upgrade! 1st world problems, most definitely.

The finish is great. I did plop it straight into a case, though the finish is so nice I may pony up for the clear case just so I can appreciate it more.

Maybe it's always been this way on the Max phones (I haven't had a 'large' phone since the 6 Plus) but the speakers do sound very good considering the fact they're phone speakers.

Haven't had chance to mess around with the cameras yet, but so far I'm so glad to be reunited with a telephoto lens! Oh I did miss it on the regular 12 more than I thought.

Overall very impressed & I'm sure my feelings towards it will get even more positive after I've shaken off the hassle I had in the first few hours.

Loving my 13 PM. Sierra Blue is stunning, the back and the stainless steel sides blend and compliment each other so well.

noticed my screen felt super dim compared to my 12 PM. I was concerned at first, but this is just how auto brightness behaves — even when manually adjusting to max it was still dimmer than my 12PM. I turned off auto brightness completely and it got much brighter.

phone feels a little heftier than my 12 PM, but not enough that it is bothersome.

ProMotion is awesome and makes the display feel much more natural.

Feedback on battery after overnight charging.

I think it’ll take a few days for the battery to settle down. I checked my usage this morning and overnight while the phone was on the charger, the photos and messages apps were running in the background for quite some time, presumably to index all my photos on iCloud and sync my messages.

So far I’m impressed. Got the 13 pro max. Biggest thing is the screen. The is crazy noticeable to me. I was on the fence about upgrading this year considering I had the 12 pro max. Now I’m glad I did. I don’t notice the weight difference unless I think about it. Don’t notice the notch too much - they really should of allowed the battery percentage back though. Didn’t have no overheating issues, and screen is flawless. Glad I upgraded.

Got the pro max - I was originally skeptical about the whole 120 mhz thing. Now I can clearly see the difference between the 13 and my 12. Also loving the macro.

The 13PM seems to be a beast so far. Just spent about 30 minutes playing Asphalt 8+ with the Music app playing in the background and brightness set to 40%, and I’m happy to report the phone is cool with only 3% battery used. I’m shocked. My 12PM used to get so warm when playing this game!

I do love my Sierra blue 13PM. Take a good look at the side bands before you touch it because those beautiful shiny stainless steel bands will never look as good again. To my eye, the fingerprint smudges show up way more than the pacific blue. Still love the Sierra Blue, though.

Follow steps exactly. It works 100% for my phone and wife’s - both fixed. Maybe it doesn’t for you I am not sure. She came from a 12 pro and I came from an X although I’m sure that’s got nothing to do with it.
And now it’s not. Ffs.
