My OLED display is perfect and the only thing I care is that there is a little piece of dust in my front camera which doesn’t effect my photos.

I am in dilemma if I should start the lottery game , I am not in a country with Apple Store.
The front camera is so small, how did you see dust in there?

If it were me I would keep if it had a great display.

After hours on the phone with apple support, they offered to extend my 14 day return period for my launch day 13 PM to 30 days (10/24). I went to pick up two new iPhones today, one Sierra Blue and one Graphite (left and right respectively). Don't mind the incorrect screen protector, I replaced it with the 13 series one afterwards :)

There must be something wrong with the Graphite models this year, or I just got really lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you see it). My launch day phone + 3 ERS replacements + this new one all have varying degrees of orange tint. The Sierra Blue is not perfect, but it's the best one that I have seen so far. No gap above the earpiece and a flush SIM tray too.
It’s nothing to do with color of device 😂

My screen seems uniform but the color is off. It’s more green than normal. 13 pro on the left and 13 pro max on the right. Both were restored from the same phone/settings. Both have true tone and night shift off. Both have equal brightness set by Siri. Auto brightness off. Pictures go from lowest brightness, to 15% (I think), to 100%.

To my eye, i think the iPhone 13 Pro Max on the right exhibit little red hue on the upper right but if you did not notice, just don’t try to look for it

Looks good to me.

The green tint is horrible though. Like if I switch between my phones I always notice it. I set up a replacement with apple so I’m hoping I can get one that is a natural color. The added green really messes with the night shift too.

Here’s some photos of my display.

The photos were taken at around 25% brightness using grey backgrounds in a stock iOS app - in this case, Settings (the 3rd image is a zoomed in screenshot of the Settings background from the 1st)

Typically photos make the issues look more pronounced than in reality, though in this case I’d say the they’re pretty accurate, albeit the display was not as bright as the photos would imply. Something else the camera couldn’t capture was the subtle flicker I see across the screen under these conditions.

I’ve never had this issue before on my iPhone X or 12, Both OLED, so I’m not sure how bad this is on a scale of ‘Keep It’ to ‘Get That to the Apple Store, and Fast!’ I know in reality nobody here can really answer the question for me, but if you want to share your opinions based on the photos please do.

As per my previous post, I’m reticent to play the screen lottery with Apple again because I know it’s most likely going to end up being a long and drawn out process (especially since this one is on finance) with little to no improvement.

I’m also really anxious to take it to the Apple Store and have them not see the issue, deny it’s existence, or have me try and reproduce it in store (which just wouldn’t be possible under the stores bright lighting conditions) and me look like an idiot.

At the same time this is the most expensive damn smartphone I’ve ever bought and now, every time I use it, it’s all I see whether subconsciously or not.

This is what I get for upgrading from my perfect iPhone 12 that I could’ve kept but didn’t because I convinced myself I’d need a better camera and screen *shakes head*
My 12 Pro Max screen was like that. It was awful using it at night. My green 12 mini also has that to some degree. My 13 Pro has a hint of a pink shimmer to it (almost like the iridescent sheen of oil on water) when True Tone and night shift is on but otherwise is good, whereas the 12 Pro Max never looked quite as crisp and clear in any circumstance.

Screen on the left is probably a worse version of mine. More yellowish/reddish on the left, but 99/100 wouldn’t notice if I handed it to them.

Yep, and the tint is exacerbated by use when the phone is warm. Hoping that my eyes get used to it since I don’t feel like joining the lottery again.

just curious, have you notice the red tint when using facebook? this is an example of my screen. FYI, I notice even under the daylight

I notice it when in the YouTube app comments section and also when the default iOS keyboard is up, even during the day at 50% brightness. There is a faint orange glow from the up/down arrows and QWAS keys, but my eyes are naturally drawn to it because I can’t "un-see" this kind of tint anymore :)

It’s minimal enough that I don’t really notice unless I specifically look for it. I also read somewhere that Apple Support stated that this can be fixed with software update?

YESSSSSSSS Definitely, I can't unsee this thing anymore. I am not sure if i want to try OLED lottery. my screen is showin red tint at the upper right section. I cant unsee it even on Facebook app. FYI, Light mode but dark mode show one side darker than the other side.

When did you get your current phone? Is it within the 14 day return?

I snagged my two replacement 13 PM by checking the Apple store app every 5 min for nearby 13 PM models. They’re out there but it’s kind of a PITA to get one.

the main problem is that I live in the country that doesn't have Apple store. Therefore, I could not exchange the phone, may be I just need to live with it till iP14.

anw, you already try to replace and receive the same issue?

I went through 4 graphite replacements and they all had the same issue. I think that getting a perfect screen with no uniformity issue is somewhat rare.

Yeah it's just a matter of if you can get used to it or not. I am going to try and wait for micro led since I got a decent screen on this 13 PM.
