I don’t think this can be fixed with a software update, that would be great though
do you experience this kind of issue too?

like i mentioned earlier, I might try to live with this since i don't want to participate in the OLED lottery haha

My screen seems uniform but the color is off. It’s more green than normal. 13 pro on the left and 13 pro max on the right. Both were restored from the same phone/settings. Both have true tone and night shift off. Both have equal brightness set by Siri. Auto brightness off. Pictures go from lowest brightness, to 15% (I think), to 100%.
My wife looks like the one on the right and mine on the left.

OH JESUS, you shouldn't waste ur time anymore. Just live with this issue and hope it will fix with software update.
Unfortunately you can’t fix a hardware variable caused by the underlying manufacturing process with a software update as each screen is differently effected.

The 12 Pro series had a green tint issue that seemed to get better with 14.5. I guess that was a software fix because it was a calibration issue?

Ok, finally got round to using my partners phone to take a picture of my screen in the dark. Looks pretty bad I would say!

Edit: this is a graphite 13 pro max

This is really interesting to see. I'd wondered what OLED was like at different scales. I've heard plenty of reviewers of iphones/ipads refer to 'OLED uniformity issues', so the stuff we're all whining about seems to definitely be a known issue.
I wouldn't even call this an issue. It's just the nature of OLED. I have owned so many devices with OLED screens; phones, watches, tablets and TVs. All of them had at least one of those issues: Un-uniformity, banding or/and colorshifts etc etc. Some of those where fine, but none of them perfect.

I see it coming: iPhone 14 OLED issues (2022)

This is almost exactly what my two 13 PMs look like (I have one graphite and one sierra blue). Which one is the most correct?

The software update reduced the green tint. It was a workaround , issue was still hardware related. It effected many android devices for that generation of oled panels also. All fingers point to Samsung and their disgusting near monopoly of OLED panels for mobile devices.

It's such a shame that these phones have this uniformity issue due to bad panels from Samsung. I hate having to go through the OLED lottery process because it's such a waste of time and energy, and I prefer getting a good phone on day 1. The phone is great otherwise.
