Pics don’t mean much. Let’s be honest.
Yup. As long as the user thinks its perfect that's what matters. No reason to post it up on here for people to nitpick and half the time pics don't translate the same as holding it in person. My latest phone has the best display by far out of all the ones I've been through. I have seen the range of screen outcomes from atrocious to great so I know the pain : )

Darker blacks with OLED are so worth it over LCD......

Some of these examples are bad. Standard iphone roll out.

The quality consistency is horrible. Apple needs to get better control over the display quality. I have been very lucky with the display on my 13 Pro Max. The bar is too low on what is acceptable quality of the displays being put in the iPhones.

Hopefully, Apple could tweak their display with their upcoming iOS just like they fixed green tint with iOS 14.5.

in comparison with the 13 lineups, trust me, most of the devices got slighty red tint.

I think this is the only option. They will then have an unofficial program to replace the device if customers reach out after a 15.x update, just like the 12 PM. I was able to get a full ERS replacement for my 12 PM solely on the basis of the green tint (though my primary reason was for the battery being at 85% health after 7 months).

im not quite sure that caused by the new panel or just the change in element using in iOS 15. Probably due to my OCD with the Screen, I also notice a slight red tint on my iPad 11" M1. when using dark mode and it's quite noticable on gray background

Lower standards to increase yield due to high refresh rate, plus poor calibration at lower brightness. That's what I'm speculating.

I hope you didn't get this one from Best Buy too!! Why did you return this time?
First one had frame damage out of the box, second was red bottom half that I could see on a white background and third one is ok. Almost exactly the same issues I had with the 12PM and same exchange count for each. 3rd and final device.

Honestly, either with/without the software fix, we all just need to live with this issue. I live in the country that lack of Apple retail stores and it's quite hard for me to get replaced.

Interesting, it seems like Google has the same issue with their new flagship.
I will wait for a software fix and if it can’t be fixed by them I’m gonna send it to apple for a new device right before my warranty expires.

So your stopping only at 3.....those are rookie numbers!!! : )

I decided to exchange my 13 Mini as it has a pretty noticeable red tint on the right half of the display at normal brightness levels. Hoping I could just get used to it or it would improve with use, but it’s too distracting when reading white text on dark backgrounds. It’s also really obvious with anything that’s blue/purple.

I went to the Apple Store and looked at 8 other Minis and most had the same issue, maybe 1-2 were actually uniform and I couldn’t find anything wrong, but most all of them were better than mine at least so I like my chances. I also looked at some regular 13s and those were almost all worse than the Minis I looked at. Bit disappointed with Apple’s QC here.

My very first 12 Mini was quite uniform, but did have a warmer/green tint overall. I don’t mind that as much as the display having uneven uniformity, especially left to right. At least with a uniform display you can make adjustments to correct an overall tint.

Yeah I don’t blame you. What are Apple doing with these panels that make them half red half green etc. ? I’m starting to believe that it’s nothing to do with Samsung more to the way how Apple is putting these panels together I think. I’d really like to be able to see what those head honchos at Apple have to say behind closed doors about this. It’s not as if it’s a rare occurrence. Bunch of p1$$ takers. 🤣

Seeing how it was so consistent on the many phones I tested, just to various degrees, I’m starting to wonder if it’s an issue with the coatings on the glass and not necessarily the display panel itself.

Who knows, possibly or the way they bond the glass onto the panel it’s not flat completely. Remember the typical OLED color shift ? That so called pink tint, does it not shift or get less when viewing off axis ?

Definitely has the typical off-axis shift that mobile OLEDs usually have, in this case it’s blue. Just gotta live with that. And ya I suppose either way it doesn’t matter if it’s the glass or the display, they’re not uniform when looking center on and that’s what matters. I don’t expect it to be perfect, but it shouldn’t be distracting.

I guess I’m just surprised it was so consistent on the ones I looked at in the store, and as a product design geek I’m also just curious to know what the actual issue is. I’d think the odds are the 10 or so non-Pro phones I looked at wouldn’t all have the same manufacturer for the panel (LG or BOE I presume) so that’s why I am thinking maybe it’s something besides the panel. I didn’t check any Pro screens at all so I can’t comment on those.
