it's a problem with the energy saving setting ... if you turn it off it doesn't. evidently on the others you had activatedAnyone else experiencing intermitting screen flickering when viewing a dark gray test card at 0% brightness? My current 13 Pro Max seems to do this for a couple of seconds. Screen is otherwise as good as I think I can get, but a little worried about the flicker as I’ve not seen it on any of the other «rejects» I’ve had. My Series 5 does the same fwiw
Low power mode is disabled, if that’s what you’re refering to. It’s not like a slow refresh rate stutter, it’s the actual screen flickering in different brightnesses as if it’s not able to display a static image at such a low brightness. Hard to explainit's a problem with the energy saving setting ... if you turn it off it doesn't. evidently on the others you had activated
i know. enable the saving battery setting and then you tell meLa modalità a basso consumo è disabilitata, se è questo a cui ti riferisci. Non è come un rallentamento della frequenza di aggiornamento, è l'effettivo sfarfallio dello schermo a diverse luminosità come se non fosse in grado di visualizzare un'immagine statica a una luminosità così bassa. Difficile da spiegare
I think that's a consistent thing. I've tried to describe it, but this is a good example. I see it on mine and others in the Apple store.![]()
In every unit I owned of this 13 series, I noticed a slight difference in temperature at the vertical edges of the screen.
It is noticeable in the settings menu: if I look at a solid white/grey image it looks ok.
what do you mean by "rejects I had"?it's a problem with the energy saving setting ... if you turn it off it doesn't. evidently on the others you had activated
Yeah my 13PM does that sometimes and the bottom get slightly darker afterwards making it very uniform. Weird.Anyone else experiencing intermitting screen flickering when viewing a dark gray test card at 0% brightness? My current 13 Pro Max seems to do this for a couple of seconds. SameSì, il mio 13PM lo fa a volte e il fondo diventa leggermente più scuro in seguito, rendendolo molto uniforme. Strano.
The couple of non-uniform and/or pink edged screens I’ve had before this onewhat do you mean by "rejects I had"?
So you're getting on with your life only after replacing devices and getting a "good " display. That's good to know. 🤣The couple of non-uniform and/or pink edged screens I’ve had before this onekeeping this one as it’s otherwise really good! Time to get on with life
My list is seriously almost a dozen things that potentially (and usually do) go wrong at some level … this has been happening since the iPhone 5!!! Prior iPhones (for me anyways) were not as bad. Foxconn QC sucks a$$!!!!I actually look for that first even before the screen. The inspection routine this year is a whole laundry list![]()
I feel your pain ?My list is seriously almost a dozen things that potentially (and usually do) go wrong at some level … this has been happening since the iPhone 5!!! Prior iPhones (for me anyways) were not as bad. Foxconn QC sucks a$$!!!!
Every year I almost dread opening the box for fear of defects, ugh ?
Haha, that is until Sept 2022 lol!!!!So you're getting on with your life only after replacing devices and getting a "good " display. That's good to know. 🤣
any feedback on this?![]()

Feedback? It's like me asking if the sun sets from east and rises from the west. Or is it the other way around 🤣?any feedback on this?
what do you mean with "off axis"I went through 3 iPhone pro 13’s and all have different characteristics . The shift to blue was very present at the slightest off axis and uniformity wasn’t great on the first 2. My 3rd phone has the slightest blue shift if it’s greatly off axis and uniformity is great .
When you tilt the device and it starts turning a different colorwhat do you mean with "off axis"
When you tilt the device and it starts turning a different color
you too if you take a white screenshot and then go directly to set the alarm do you see brightness adjustments? you have to do it at brightness 0 and 100% dark roomWhen you tilt the device and it starts turning a different color
any feedback on this?
My 13 Pro Max has an off-axis blue color shift. I just tried switching from a white background to the set alarm. There was no brightness change for me, the brightness slayed at 0%.you too if you take a white screenshot and then go directly to set the alarm do you see brightness adjustments? you have to do it at brightness 0 and 100% dark room
I think he’s aware it’s a screen shot. But was asking if the areas with arrows have different tints on folks devices. This is a screenshot I believe? It won’t show any defects. Take a photo of your screen and not a screenshot bud.
be careful, however, it only happens if the white screenshot is from the gallery. with safari white background or other things does not happen. My 13 Pro Max has an off-axis blue color shift. My 13pm looks almost identical in 0-20% brightness!Tried real hard to make the photos looks terrible . And was successful. ?
Test card used and brightness level used attached.
