Anyone else experiencing intermitting screen flickering when viewing a dark gray test card at 0% brightness? My current 13 Pro Max seems to do this for a couple of seconds. Screen is otherwise as good as I think I can get, but a little worried about the flicker as I’ve not seen it on any of the other «rejects» I’ve had. My Series 5 does the same fwiw
it's a problem with the energy saving setting ... if you turn it off it doesn't. evidently on the others you had activated

Low power mode is disabled, if that’s what you’re refering to. It’s not like a slow refresh rate stutter, it’s the actual screen flickering in different brightnesses as if it’s not able to display a static image at such a low brightness. Hard to explain

i know. enable the saving battery setting and then you tell me

In every unit I owned of this 13 series, I noticed a slight difference in temperature at the vertical edges of the screen.

It is noticeable in the settings menu: if I look at a solid white/grey image it looks ok.
I think that's a consistent thing. I've tried to describe it, but this is a good example. I see it on mine and others in the Apple store.

Yeah my 13PM does that sometimes and the bottom get slightly darker afterwards making it very uniform. Weird.

I actually look for that first even before the screen. The inspection routine this year is a whole laundry list :)
My list is seriously almost a dozen things that potentially (and usually do) go wrong at some level … this has been happening since the iPhone 5!!! Prior iPhones (for me anyways) were not as bad. Foxconn QC sucks a$$!!!!

Every year I almost dread opening the box for fear of defects, ugh 😩

any feedback on this?

I went through 3 iPhone pro 13’s and all have different characteristics . The shift to blue was very present at the slightest off axis and uniformity wasn’t great on the first 2. My 3rd phone has the slightest blue shift if it’s greatly off axis and uniformity is great .

what do you mean with "off axis"

you too if you take a white screenshot and then go directly to set the alarm do you see brightness adjustments? you have to do it at brightness 0 and 100% dark room
My 13 Pro Max has an off-axis blue color shift. I just tried switching from a white background to the set alarm. There was no brightness change for me, the brightness slayed at 0%.

be careful, however, it only happens if the white screenshot is from the gallery. with safari white background or other things does not happen.

Tried real hard to make the photos looks terrible . And was successful. 🤣
Test card used and brightness level used attached.
