Note 20 Ultra was months older than iPhone 12 Pro Max tho,I don’t like Note’s bulky cameras either but in terms of front ,Note looks much more modern and more professional.
iPhone’s notch definitely makes it look like an older device.
Other than that I think 12 Pro Max looks awesome (specially back and sides).
but then there is the new S21 Ultra which looks very similar to 12 Pro Max from front without that ugly notch and from rear ,while I really like 12 Pro Max,I think S21 Ultra matt black looks amazing ,so modern and futuristic and unique.

Probably wait until iPhone 14 (2022) OR I'll wait for more solid rumors in June, July to see if there are any massive upgrades. Right now I don't see any need to upgrade my 12PM
Why is everyone so bothered with the notch. It shouldnt bother anyone... in fact, instead of seeing the ‘missing’ part of the screen, just think of it as you got MORE screen on the left and right side of the notch.
Instead of making the notch smaller, why not make it full width... so then it’s not a notch anymore.
I would like to see real copper used on top the stainless steel sides.

The iPhone X was a special case for the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, plus it’s form factor changed. Just as the iPhone 12 was a form factor change from the 11 and that is why there was no 11S. If Apple does use the 12S naming then the iPhone after that would probably be named iPhone 13.

It was reported that a A14X with 8 cores was supposedly benchmarked with a multi-core score over 6800. If true and the A15 goes from 6 cores to 8 cores, that would certainly get closer to the M1 performance which is staggering for a cell phone CPU.
EDIT: It appears from the early posted benchmarks for the A15, Apple is going to use 6 cores.

I won't buy a new iPhone until the solve the PWM flickering issue. Probably MiniLED LCD is my option, will see
TouchID done like the iPad Air would be a really welcome addition.

I was going to buy the iphone12, but will buy the 13mini since I'm still on the original iphone se. Glad I waited one more year.
And Apple's 'Designers' continue navel gazing and get paid a fortune - thinking different colours and a smaller notch is innovative....wow!.
See Apple design team totally owned by this (working) expanding/sliding phone from Oppo. I'm sure Steve Jobs would be irate at the current design team at Apple for essentialy designing nothing new in the last 3 years. Come to think of it... is anyone actually designing stuff at Apple or are they just using old parts year on year and revising out of date concepts - they really don't have anything original to show any more? Yes they might update the innards - but hey - so does everyone else - that's nothing new.
