Agreed. Better news would be Apple increasing the default size for unpaid iCloud storage, and then bumping up the paid tiers as well.

Long term storage on the device itself is begging for a catastrophic loss. Keeping media in the cloud is a great option, Apple just needs to sweeten the pot a little.

Until servers (and those server's redundant servers go down) and you can't access your content. We've already seen that Apple and iCloud is not impervious to data breaches or infrastructure failures. Trusting companies with all of your digital information and purchases is foolish.

Doesn't sound right to me either, I think this rumor is off. I mean, it is from a random Ukrainian Ecommerce site. Maybe they just don't list that model for whatever reason. Even the 2020 SE has 256. I don't think this rumor is going to be true but will see. I do think they should have added more disclaimer notes on this one, as it doesn't seem that credible, but who knows. Even with cloud storage arguments, storage tends to go up over time across the board.

Also, seconding what other people are saying countering that it doesn't matter. Plenty of people need that much storage. Hi-Res photos, videos, a hard copy of your music library, apps, and you are easily at 150GB+ . Love the cloud for syncing but prefer some things, especially media to be a hard copy.

Also, Apple needs to get away from the pastel colors of the 11 and 12, and more close to something like the XR.
I swear it’s like every year ever since the product red 7+, the red just gets less and less… red.
Same with most of the other colors honestly.
I miss the old iPod colors, they were super bright, super shiny, premium but fun, and also there was a lot of them.
Remembering the 4th gen iPod nano that came in nine different colors.

Exactly. Seems like very shortsighted logic, if true. The lack of a 256 GB mini option isn't going to upsell me to a larger size that I don't want, it's just going to make me stick with the 12 mini I already have and not buy anything.

I sure hope that is the case!

My iTunes library is half a TB. Moving music in and out of phone is not fun, and I can’t really predict what I want to listen to in the next moment.

So, you might not want to pay for a music streaming service, but think of the time you are spending now. Time=money. I used to be in the exact same situation...always moving music around, never sure what I might want to hear at any given moment..it was frustrating. Then I started using Spotify and I never looked back. Best thing I could have done! Much happier (and saner) now.

Not here to change your mind. More to add that pink is the trendiest of colors at the moment (fashion, design, etc.). It would not at all surprise me to see Apple go that route, as they tend to be THE color trend setters - meaning, when they drop a color, you will literally see it everywhere for the next several years.

I was thinking about that... in this case they would seem like they are chasing a trend..

One of the benefits of the bronze is if you use a clear flexi-plastic case it won't matter if it discolors!
