iPhone 14 Pro Display Panels Reveal New Pill-and-Hole Design Replacing Notch

Of all the ‘rumors’ thus far, I actually suspect these panel leaks are absolutely accurate to what we will see debut in September.

And, traditionally, it’s about this time of year that we would start seeing more hardware leaks, which is another strong indicator.

20:9 aspect ratio is awesome. It may not sound like much of difference compared to the current 19.5:9, but you can tell the difference holding it in your hand. It is much more comfortable. Galaxy s21+ had that aspect ratio

Once you have a display behind it I firmly believe this will be the better look.
 
As a followup, I think this is shopped. I imported the image into photoshop and took measurements. The pill and hole punch camera are different sizes between the 14 and 14max. They also have different heights from the top of the pill to the top of the bottom of the speaker. Neither of that would make sense.

You act like there’s no screen taking place around the area where the cut-outs are. This pill and hole design will be a lot less noticeable than an entirely blacked-out notch area. It doesn’t matter if they shaped it like the outline of an elephant eating a cheeseburger, it’s going to be way less noticeable than the notch once the eye phases it out over time.

Everybody is hating on the “i” punch out, but $10 says in a year or two everyone will be totally cool with it and think the notch looks antiquated.
 
Eh, not sure I'm going to upgrade this year. Those are huge cut-outs and the distance from the edge is off-putting to me. My 13 Pro Max can carry me through to iPhone 15 I guess.
 
That was before we had the Pro designation. I’m looking forward to upgrading from 12 Pro to 14 Pro Max.

And just like that, the (always visible) battery percentage indicator becomes a pro-exclusive feature on the iPhone 14's ;) ;)

I know a lot of people have been clamouring for hole/pill punch cameras, but I just don't see how anything is gained. The space above is uselessly small and it seems to be located further down into the screen than the notched models. But I don't really care as I won't be getting one. You'll have to pry my 13 mini from my cold head hands! ;)
 
If Apple comes with nothing better as this I'm still happy with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and wait till is all under display , , iPhone 15/16??
