Definitely experienced this today. Person on the other end was using wired CarPlay and could barely hear them. Both using 14 pros. I will say it did sound clearer with less background noise… just had to put my volume all the way up.

Too bad Apple wouldn't separate the launch of a new iOS and a new iPhone.
It would be better to launch a new iOS in January and a new phone in September.
A new phone needs a new OS. New hardware capabilities. In an ideal world hardware and software would be fully tested before release, but Apple seem to be wedded to an annual September phone launch, doubtless to maximise sales ready for Christmas gifting.

It happened to me yesterday. New 14 PM. My first of three calls was perfect. The next two could hardly hear me. I switched to my car’s own cell phone interface and that was perfectly usable.

I’ve been saying this for years. I don’t understand why the **** does Craig have a job there. Everything that has to do with software is such a ****ing mess
And he had the complete nerve to take shots at Forstall on stage at WWDC. I said it in an earlier post but i know high school students that can program with more effeciency and do it FAR more compentantly than Craig and his stooges xould ever hope to achieve.

Ideally, I would wait to get a new iPhone until after the .1 or .2 release. But then if I wait, then it’s sold out every where for weeks.
I was thinking this same thing today. It’s like the best thing would be to buy the device when pre order opens, receive device, open the box and appreciate the device, then wait 7-10 days to actually activate and use the damn thing to have an optimal experience.

Let’s be honest now. Steve Jobs is rolling over in his grave this week.

Apple’s “best” employees have been fake testing this crap for months — their guiding philosopher is Mediocretes.

Still like my iPhone 12 Pro but I do see some animations lag when switching apps or opening search etc.

Feels pretty obvious that corners have been cut during regression testing for this release.

Is there proof work from home is the cause?
Yes. The evidence is that Tim Cook is adamant about workers returning to the office despite it being unpopular inside Apple. If Tim Cook sees data that productivity has been better with a remote workforce, he wouldn't be doing this.

Yep, I had this issue. Thought it was my 70 year old dad losing his hearing. He’s ok for now then it seems.

Also, I had a problem playing Apple Music. There would be no sound even though it’s playing. Volume was up but nada.
