Same…. Upgraded from iPhone mini 12.
Loved the mini, would have chosen a 14 mini… wanted to get pleasantly surprised by the 14 Pro.
Got the leather Apple Magsafe cover to help the larger formfactor to slide into my pockets.
I never expected that the 14 Pro would be that heavy.
On the software-side, I am struggling with WeatherPro. It just does not allow me to share my location. System and privacy settings allow it, the app shows I can activate it, so I do so, but after looking into the app’s settings again after enabling it, Location is off again.
Deleted and reinstalled app, rebooted iPhone, removed device from my account, activated again… no avail. Simply won’t allow me to use location services.
Common element seems to be apple.Yeah. It’s not like Catalina had bugs. Or Lion. Or iOS 7. This needs to stop being posted in every single thread. Is there proof work from home is the cause?
The base idea isn't too bad.So in cases like the iPhone 14, where they have a truly brand new feature - dynamic island - you’d want them to have like an iOS 15.7 for 4 months just to support that? If anything I’d say flip your theory and say new OS in September and new device in January
Instant gratification is not all it's cracked up to be some times. 🙂Ideally, I would wait to get a new iPhone until after the .1 or .2 release. But then if I wait, then it’s sold out every where for weeks.
Not necessarily (though there is some schadenfreude I admit). It's an opportunity to feel good, having a wee bit of power and agency (that's others lacking) by lashing out at some company or person.
The new normal on the internet.
Well if that's how the new Hands free calls work, then I hope Crash Detection does its job…I wonder if the phone microphone is being used instead of the car's, if someone can try bringing the phone close to their mouth when they talk and see if that works.
I’m actually a happy iPhone 14 pro max owner. These aren’t anything except for software hiccups. Everything will be addressed, as usual.Feel sorry for the iPhone 14 Pro owners. I wouldn't be happy.
Apple will say they're making calls wrong soon.
The "this is because work from home" kinda comment in every iPhone 14 Pro problem thread is getting a bit old and rancid. But let's not pretend Lion or other OSses/product launch were as bad like this one. They may had one major bug and some minor ones/unstability problems, but when did you see a product launch having so many serious problems in basic functions? Camera rattling and slow app, phone calls on car play, backup transfers freezing the whole phone, airdrop problems, iMessages and FaceTime calls problems, undesired copy-paste behaviour, lighting transfering enormous RAW images at USB 2.0 speeds... If we add that the only "shocking" news for this iPhone are the pill shaped notch, the crash detection and some camera improvements compared to the 13 (which was already pretty similar to 12), it just makes it worse.Yeah. It’s not like Catalina had bugs. Or Lion. Or iOS 7. This needs to stop being posted in every single thread. Is there proof work from home is the cause?
Interesting that some users don't appear to be affected. I have the issue, and have used iOS 16.0, 16.0.1, and 16.1 beta 2, but nothing eliminates the problem. No issues here, heavy CarPlay user and 14 pro max…..
Easy peasy. Launch iPhone 14 with stable iOS 15.8.0 = 16.0.0Help me make sense of this. Launch a new iPhone with an older iOS? It’s never been done lol
Beta 2 doesn't appear to fix this issue. I tried it last night.and from my side i was claiming to kia the issue.
i can reproduce the issue only if the called party is it also with carplay, many people claiming this to me, they are not able to hear me. i didn’t test it with 16.1 beta2 anyway, will test today
Feel sorry for the iPhone 14 Pro owners. I wouldn't be happy.

I've tested that in my car and the car's microphone is definitely being used.I wonder if the phone microphone is being used instead of the car's, if someone can try bringing the phone close to their mouth when they talk and see if that works.
