This is the Pacific Blue case I have received on Thursday. And yes, the small colour differences on the case are from just holding it with my hand, as I would do with any case. You need a way to hold your iPhone.

I really like the texture and the colour. I am just not sure how it will hold up, because with my leather case from YMW I just 'swiped away' the scratches I made with my nail. Now that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is much cheaper, I have some money in the budget left. I might buy a Wiiuka leather case, just in case the FineWoven case will not survive (but it would be a real bummer).

Oh, so naive. Like it or not, Apple is often testing technologies in its devices that are mostly intended for bigger use in future devices, and people pay thousands for it!
Thank you for your deep insights, oh wise one. This was completely new information to me!

I have the Taupe FineWoven case for my iPhone 15 Pro. I like the way it looks and feels. I’ve always used Apole Leather cases, but the last few years the patina they provided was terrible (black on all sides of the case). My biggest concern with this case is how it is going to wear…

Sending mine back, it is a flimsy piece of garbage. It'll be the first year buying a non-apple case. Expect Apple to introduce a new leather case next year with "super sustainable leather something something PR".
It feels like the same build quality as my Apple leather case that I’m using on my 14 Pro. I think the leather feels better but to call the case itself flimsy. I don’t agree with that (now the material does feel different lol)

Thanks for the post. I ordered the same case and matching wallet.

Found this video which shows the natural titanium in a mulberry case. She actually holds it up next to a 14 pro, and the case and bezels look very thin!.I think itay have convinced me to order!

You guys are putting the cart before the horse by returning the FineWoven cases before you have your iPhone 15s lmao 🤣 The hivemind is sad

The feeling of an empty case and an iPhone with the case on it is worlds apart.
I've felt cases every year for a week before the phone arrived. Never been an issue.

Putting a phone inside this case isn't going to magically make it more durable and feel less like crap.

This case is trash no matter what is in or not in it.

I got my Toupe FW and Clay silicone cases yesterday from Madrid Apple Store. So far, so good. Colors aren't 100% accurate neither in the box nor over Apple website, but that's hardly a surprise. In any case both colours look nice and a good fit for the new 15 Pro colours.

Finewoven looks ok. It feels well built and engineered, it doesn't have a cheap feeling to me, just totally different to a leather case. Last three years Apple leather cases have been very very bad, they lost their touch with the iPhone 12 and I hated those dark stains they developed instead of the nice patina of ages past, so I'm more than happy to try a new material.

I'm convinced Apple is doing greenwashing here though, I doubt that memory foam, inks, and side materials can be good for the environment. But, as a material it feels interesting, and only time will tell if it's as bad as Apple leather or not. We need to wait and give it a go. Those expecting a leather substitute will be very disappointed.

Here's Taupe and Clay, side by side... I'm ready for a muted Autumn this year :)

The pics I have seen of taupe it looks brown

The case has a nice soft feel to it, but honestly, it doesn’t look at all like a premium Apple iPhone case; especially for someone who is coming from Apple’s leather case. I bought taupe and pacific blue but I’m not sure which one I will keep.

I received the mulberry/purple color. It's impossible for me to like this case for the price. Had it been a $30, maybe even a $40 case, I'd feel differently, but it's basically a bumper case with a reinforced fabric back (albeit one with nice buttons, MagSafe, and a bezel to protect the cameras). The back lining is no longer microfiber (just more fine woven material), and the sides are no longer lined. I'm returning this, and ordered an Apple silicon case that will tide me over until the fine woven cases go on sale and we also know how easily the Ti frame scratches. The frame my space gray iPhone 12 pro still looks new after using a bunch of different cases.

I just received my Finewoven Taupe case and does this seem like a manufacturing defect? The sloping and unevenness on top of the camera cutout?

Unfortunately, your spot on. I feel like this case will be a one and done and be forced to come up with something better next year. The price point is way too high as well for what they are offering here.

While I do still prefer Apple's leather iPhone case, I am wondering how the fine woven cases will look after some additional wear. Given time, I would think the woven fibers may loosen a bit from handling resulting in a really nice looking "patina". I probably won't look as attractive as leather patina, but time will tell.

Returned FineWoven cases today at a store and picked up two silicon one. Even they are better. Will be looking for a good leather case in a while (market is not yet there now)

Has anyone determined if there is any "self healing" properties at all to this material? If I scratch the leather it seems to go away over time. Does the same occur with finewoven, or is each scuff permanent?

If so, that would be really disappointing. It doesn't look good when scuffed, and it seems like it scuffs easily. Within a week I'd have a case that looked like it went through a war.

Just got my Pacific Blue FineWoven case in the mail.... I despise the way the back feels. Definitely going to return this and the Evergreen one that's on its way.

The scuffs will be there to stay

It seems this is a hate thread but I actually quite like to black FW case i have. Obviously not used on the phone yet but it feels much nicer overall to me than the awful apple silicone cases. I am not a fan of leather so had hoped Apple would do an alternative that wasn’t silicone. FW seems a strange choice but I am sure it will be here to stay as they don’t tend to backtrack on things like this
