We need the ability to selectively delete our memories so we can enjoy the experience of getting new Apple devices, reading great books, and watching movies as if they were new to us.
Or just enjoy the very nice iPhone 11-15 you already have and be happy there’s no need to waste any money on an upgrade.

More money to spend on books or movies which will give more enjoyment.

The issue here is rumours are making the phones so predictable, that it is taking the excitement away of what Apple has up its sleeves.

I already have lost interest in the 16 lineup. I am hoping that with the iPhone 17 or 18 Apple will bring us another x moment, and Cook can present us something new.

What would be an x moment for you?
For me it would be Apple Pencil support.

Can't wait for the S25 Ultra
Was going to give the 16 a shot with M4 Studio but just can't justify it.
Software just not there still.
Been trying with my iPad pro/macbook and latest beta but feels like a joke compared to android.
All the main integration and just works stuff is if you use the default apps and they are extremely lacking.
Just even notification handling is a joke on iOS compared to what I can do with good lock extensions (notistar) A proper manageable list of notification history. Imagine that..
If I want a watch with sapphire have to get the heavy and twice as expensive (compared to Galaxy watch) stainless version or watch Ultra.
Software not great there either.
Sleep tracking only just very recently started tracking naps but still Samsung is a little more flexible.
iOS, MacOS need another 2-4 years it seems and even then you still have to ask yourself if the price premium is worth it (watch and Mac desktops)

How do you expect the design to change less they do a flip or fold phone and people and already extremely negative at the thought of those two. People just can’t be happy at all these days

I'm guessing you mean people here, for many years.

Certainly not the people Apple is selling 600,000 iPhones to every day of the year (on the average). They're stoked!

Must be the more boring update in iPhone history.

One would be better off getting a 15 series model when the 16's come out to save money.

I really do not want the 5x lens, it is so pointless. Way too much Zoom for anything I ever want to photograph. I wish they'd keep the 3x lens and make all sensors 48mp.

Some of us (me) do have use for additional optical quality on the tele end. I agree that all sensors should be the same high 48 MP. For me every improvement in capture quality is a plus and greatly appreciated.

Greatly appreciated meaning improve the image capture competence a bit and Apple has me happily buying into the newest iPhone Pro yet again. I marvel at the image captures Apple achieves from such a tiny relatively inexpensive camera.

My big beef with the iPhone cameras are the horrific terrible awful UI. The new shutter release alone sounds like it might justify the iP16 Pro for me; we will see.

They are still buying an iPhone either way.

I don't think the critics here have quite thought through their insults and snide remarks. They are not quite having the impact on Apple you all think it might. 🤣

Some say the sky is falling with an apple. But I am getting dividends from Apple from earnings. Careless these friar tucks are bellowing about as town Cryer

If you have enough shares, technically Apple could pay for your iPhone or other Apple devices. It's a smart investment for now and later.
which some people like myself do. Those that are..........well as Abazigal said insult etc. is the only way they can express themselves. for a few types of people here people that want phones need phones and people who wish to have them. The people here they have no intention to upgrade or by Apple phones seem to love to cause problems for others. I don’t know why people post here if they have no intention to give any real good information. But then again to them all they wanna do is cause problems. welcome to fansites

Insulting others is not a good way of expressing yourself. Personally, I think that everyone is free to choose how to spend the money they earn. Usually people that insult others because they buy Apple products just hate the company because of its success.

Is Apple cheaping out and compromising safety? Other devices seem capable of charging faster
Apple seems to be emphasising battery longevity of late, with the option to charge your device to only 80%. It seems in line with iPhone users holding on to their devices longer and upgrading less frequently, and Apple making moves to extend the longevity of those devices (which is the opposite of the forced obsolescence accusation that so many people here like to make).

Do we know what faster charging does to those batteries in the long run? Or do people simply not care because they don't expect to keep these devices for that long anyways? Cheaper devices, faster rate of replacement, more e-waste generated, or is pollution only a problem when it's Apple? 🤔
