So after skipping the 15 series I decided to go for the 16 Pro and I LOVE it, for me it's the perfect middle ground. Big enough to not feel cramped and small enough not to fill my pocket when not in use, it's my favourite iPhone ever.

2 days in and battery life has been awesome too, 3 hours 52mins SOT with 52% Battery left, more than good enough if you ask me.

That is all 🏻
Hmm, I upgraded from a 14PM simply to be future ready for Apple Intelligence and after extensive daily use I cannot tell any difference at all between the phones. I notice no discernible increase in speed, nor any significant battery improvement. Battery I admit depends entirely on how one uses the phone but for me I don't see much difference. I also don't notice the new thinner bezels. The screen appears to my eye just as it did before. Still looking for any notable differences. After weeks of use I am hoping Apple Intelligence is released sooner than promised so I don't feel so guilty about the upgrade. I do use AI often so Apple Intelligence was the driving factor for the upgrade for me.

How are you getting 2 days of battery life, low power mode?

He didn’t say 2 days worth of battery, he said two days in…

Correct I didn't say 2 days battery life but I think it's more than possible, I took my 16 pro off charger at 0846 this morning and now at 2233 bedtime I have 53% left with 3hrs 45min of screen time.

No low power mode.

but did this really come as a surprise as a former 14pro user? checked the dimension of iphone 12pro, 14pro and 16pro and there's hardly any change.

I came from 13PM and I’m absolutely loving the iPhone 16 Pro. Perfect size and battery life has been amazing (since 18.0.1). It’s just as good as my 13PM now. I can go two days with light/medium use.

As a fellow Mini fan, go for the regular 16, it’s really great.
This.

Altho I’m currently using a 16 Pro, I did use a regular 16 for a bit and it felt great. Super light. Might go back to it cause I’m getting wrist fatigue with the 16 Pro. (Carpal tunnel here)

I upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro Max from an iPhone Xs, my wife the same, but from an iPhone X. Obviously we are both loving them!
Isn’t the size difference bothering any of you? Because when I recently switched from an 11 Pro to a 15 Pro, I was surprised how much higher the phone feels. I know it isn’t a ginormous difference, but very noticeable once your core memory has to adjust. Still feels much more clunky and big than my 11 Pro, but you went from normal to max and skipped all the versions in between where the sizes were slightly adjusted. From 10 to 16 Pro Max is wild.

We both love the larger screen to be honest and those positives outweigh the negatives. She has decided it needs to go in a handbag and not pockets though lol I now have a larger bulge in my trouser pocket than I used to.
Ahh ok, yeah, if I had a purse/handbag to carry it in I might be ok with the Max, too. Because as you said, pockets do be bulging with these ever growing Apples.

16 sits at about 6 oz, between the mini (5) and the pro (7). I think for me the telephoto lens, promotion, and battery battery life outweigh (if you’ll pardon the pun) the one ounce.

Coming from a iPhone 13 to the 16 Pro, I am also very pleased with the entire device experience, I think this is the most underrated point of view talked about by any reviewer. I was most sold on the cameras, we needed a more sleek, lightweight recording setup as we plan on travelling in the near future and they aren't disappointing.

No getting around that Apple serious fumbled iOS 18 though, hopefully when it's fully baked I'll like it even more.

I think the 16 is a great weight, but I can’t get used to the 60hz display.

I'm enjoying my 16 Pro and there are a ton of little improvements. Unlike almost every tech reviewer, I'm actually using the camera button and find it a better solution than the on screen controls. There is a bit more of a learning curve than we're used to on other Apple products but once you have it down it's great.

I'm glad I went ahead with my purchase despite the reviews which I've found were greatly exaggerated.
Of course a physical button is better for controlling the camera. We’ve been so conditioned to use the screen because that was the primary way (yes I know about the volume rocker and used that for the shutter before cc).

The camera button works even better if you rotate the phone in landscape so that camera control is on the bottom for your thumb to access.

Smartphones are mostly cameras with the ability to make phone calls these days. Oh, and texting primarily as well 😁

After 10 hours and of mixed use, mainly Facebook, I was down to about 12%. Better than my 13pro, but that’s expected.
That sounds insanely good. Really, only down 12% from mostly using FB for 10h? Down from 100%? 16 Pro?
