I went from 15 Pro Max to 16 Pro back to 15 Pro Max. 🤪 I missed the larger display. The 16 Pro feels great in hand but felt cramped coming from the Max. Glad you’re loving it though. Great phone.

So in a somewhat unexpected but totally expected way I ditched the 16 Pro and got the 16 Pro Max.

Found myself missing the bigger screen for typing and with fat fingers the wider screen of the max makes for a more pleasant experience(Less typos).

Battery life is phenomenal and the size trade off is more than worth it for me.

Agreed! I toyed with the idea of switching to the Pro from Pro Max but now glad I didn’t because I would miss the screen and battery!

I bought the iPhone 16 Pro again after returning it on release day and now I love it! The battery life is so good!

via settings, I dont charge above 80% or let the charge drop below 20%
More than meets my needs...altho I dont watch long videos or listen to music all day.

I upgraded from a Xiaomi 13 Pro (not really upgrading by myself, but I got the 16P as company phone so I abandoned my Xiaomi). I like it so far and as expected, there aren’t many differences between apple and android flagships in performance.

There are just a few things I don’t like:

With the standard keyboard: Why isn’t the comma on the first page and why doesn’t insert the phone a space after typing a comma? 😂

Why mini breaks when opening a message in e. g. telegram from the lock screen directly?

I would love to customize the gesture for swiping down in the middle of the screen (which enters the search). I would prefer to open the notification center. I configured the double tap on the back but honestly this is more of a hit and miss 😅

But besides these things I’m really satisfied.

As I understand, these are complaints on the operating system iOS 18, not the 16 Pro hardware!? How does the screen, touch and battery differ you think?
Edit: typos

Install gboard. Google keyboard. I personally installed that for my moms iPhone as she was used to Android keyboards and languages.

Which color did you to with? Using it with a case? If so which one?

Been using the 16 pro for a week now after selling my 16 pro max.
Really enjoying the pro size again, havn't had one since the 14 pro.
Was a bargain brand new $900AUD for a 512Gb, retail is $2,350AUD.

I think the size of the 16 Pro is just about perfect. However, its entirely too heavy for its size and uncomfortable to hold with its flat sides and sharp edges.

Sorry, I somehow missed your answer.
The screen is nice, I like it but there’s no noticeable difference to my Xiaomi 13 Pro or my boyfriend's OnePlus 13. Touch is as expected and on par with Android flagships (lucky me that I don’t have any touch issues…).

I’m very satisfied with battery life. In Android OS you have to tweak a little more and there are a lot of settings you have to go through to optimize battery life. With 80 % at iOS I’ll make it through 1,5 days. Compared the mAh of the battery of the 16 Pro with my Xiaomi 13 Pro (which is much more) this is pretty impressive.

I am hoping the iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max do not regress from this but rather build on the 16 Pro/Pro Max.

Wish they would have kept the 6.1" screen and shrunk the bezels and body instead of shrinking the bezels and putting in a bigger screen and also making the body larger. Or ideally come out with an additional Pro model with the shrunken bezels with say the ~5.9" from the X/Xs/11 Pro while also shrinking the body.
