Happy to take any questions!
Is the transition between the back glass and titanium frame smooth (see this thread)?
Happy to take any questions!
This was my first thought when the case arrived. It’s ok if your finger is coming from the front of the phone, so to speak, but you can’t use it in the traditional camera button style (at least not with my fingers on a Pro Max!)The capture button is way to high for the right placement to take photos
There are already enough Geekbenches out there made by reviewers.Hey! Geekbench score of the 16 pro max? Thanks!
Yes it’s in a very awkward position and I have to grid the phone in an unnatural way to use the button. It might be ok for the smaller phone but for plus and pro max it’s a miss. The capture button is way to high for the right placement to take photos
Seems smooth to meIs the transition between the back glass and titanium frame smooth (see this thread)?
I use my 16 PM without a case the whole day and didn't notice an issue. Seems smooth to me.Is the transition between the back glass and titanium frame smooth (see this thread)?
Yep been playing with it but its actually pretty useless for 95% of people, it also is SO MUCH SLOWER than just using the screen buttons. The capture button is way to high for the right placement to take photos
Yea it’s a button I won’t ever use because I can’t reach it properly.Yep been playing with it but its actually pretty useless for 95% of people, it also is SO MUCH SLOWER than just using the screen buttons.
I think I won't touch it until the visual look up AI thing comes, that's if I keep this tbh.
Ahhhh Australia, I just recently came back from a long vacay there which was also my first visit Down Under and I loved it 🥰Another year, another iPhone launch!
I turned up to Apple Broadway in Sydney at 8.30 this morning and picked up my iPhone 16 Pro Max in Desert Titanium
There wasn’t much of queue and I was in and out of the store in 15 mins. As it’s not the flagship store, it was much less chaotic and civilised than the George St store in the Sydney CBD.
First impressions:
Pics below. Cases include Apple silicone in Lake Green and Beats case in sunset purple. I actually like the sunset purple Beats case more even though some think it’s too glossy/plasticky.
- LOVE the Desert Titanium. It appears bronze in certain lighting and sometimes rose gold. Reminiscent of the rose gold 6s Plus that I had but maybe one shade darker. The back panel is what some would call a “nude” colour
- The phone is not that much heavier than the 15 PM.
- Bezels are definitely smaller than the 15 PM and it’s very noticeable to the naked eye.
- Camera control button is okay/meh. It's in an awkward position to reach in landscape and you have to grip the phone in an unnatural manner.
Last pic is a direct comparison against a 12 mini (I know from the smallest to the biggest iPhone! I sold my 15 PM a few weeks ago and had to use the 12 mini as a backup...)
Happy to take any questions!

No 🤣Ahhhh Australia, I just recently came back from a long vacay there which was also my first visit Down Under and I loved it 🥰
so is it possible to add the seventh row of apps now? There’s clearly enough space for there at the bottom of the main screen
I think natural will look better in person. Everyone says it’s much nicer in person than in pictures and that you will be surprised. I have never seen a natural in person. That’s what I went with. I’ve had white, blue, black, blue. This will be my first gray. I was gonna switch to the hazel pixel 9 pro which looks similar to the natural pro max. So I’m kind of exited for the gray color.Couldn't really decide on color until the last minute at pre-order time and I think now that I've had more time to look at photos I picked the worst color: natural titanium.
Desert titanium is looking a lot better in person based on these photos. I would have gone with that in retrospect. If not that then the black titanium. Black is usually my favorite but I was worried about scratches and chips being really noticeable.
Gotta have enough space for that tiny ass search button, even if you don’t use it. Even though you can just swipe down on your screen! Apple just doesn’t get it.No 🤣
Instead of using the extra space, icons and such are just larger now ffs

I've also noticed that safari is not optimised for the larger screens, it just extends the grey area at the bottom between home bar and search bar, something feels off and I'm not sure what's going on.No 🤣

Remember the rest of the year - everything is trying to kill youThe one time of the year I wish I could be in Australia! 🤣
