You can edit the Photographic Styles of shots taken on 16 series phones on Mac with the same grid interface. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

(May require macOS 15.1 beta but it's there)

By far one of the best features Apple has shipped in years. It's a game changer for me personally and alone makes upgrading to 16 worth it.

That's really cool, thanks for sharing that. Didn't know that functionality was making it to the Mac.

I have checked and it's also there on iPad (again, the 18.1 beta) - the full Styles experience and grid editing view. You need to take the initial shot on the iPhone 16 series, but editing after you can do anywhere.

Might be my favourite feature Apple has introduced for many years. It's amazing how versatile it is, while also managing to keep photos looking 'good' no matter what you choose. Bravo to the team involved in making that happen.

Maybe next year they will bring it to RAW photos - essentially a first-party colour grading experience in the native app, that would be absolutely incredible.

Love the natural Titanium. I'm a a big fan on anything Ti in general. I wear an Ultra

Iphone 16 Pro Max is very visibly thinner than the 14 pro. 15 user are probably used to that.

On a food scale 8.0z for the 16 Pro Max no screen protector, 7.7 for the 14 Pro with screen protector on. An uninstalled screen protector weighs in at .03 oz. It does not feel heavier than my purple 14 pro in hand. The Ti construction really is pretty great. I handled a 15 Pro Max in the store, which convinced me to just try the large Max this round and I wanted maximum batter life.

The thinner bezels are a much bigger deal than I expected. It probably makes a bigger impact on the max, but particularly when moving to a Max. I can still type one handed which is good.

More pictures to come.

So far I've had no issues switching phones, and that whole process between phones is soooo nice when it works flawlessly. I know its not 100% for everyone, but the transfer has always worked perfectly for me.

Ordered Desert first, then cancelled and ordered White. In-Store pickup today, but I keep neurotically going back and forth on which one I want. I see one good photo of the white - ooh I want the white! Another good photo of the desert - ooohh I actually want the desert! And vice versa.... Hard decision. I'll see them in person in a few hours and hopefully that'll make it easier to make a final call.
I went to store to see it myself. I initially ordered Desert which was just delivered but after seeing in person I am not going to open the box and return it tomorrow. Was ready to go with black for the first time in many years which looks great, but then saw the white, and it is really nice!

I went for the white straight off the bat. Just love the classic white/silver of Apple. Reminds me of my beloved white 4S

Absolutely happy with my choice.

I see that a lot people went from the pro to the pro max.
I really can't decide.

The battery is not a huge deal for me. The only other thing you get is the screen obviously but every time i see a max i notice how in a lot of the OS the elements are not even using the space, they are just proportionally bigger (like the home screen/widgets).

So i have the feeling i would get something less "convenient" without no actual advantage.
On the other hand every time i look at the max for more than a minute i find the pro incredibly small.

Any advice?

The battery is a LOT better on life though....and the bezels are big improvement. Maybe not worth it over a 15 but anything prior yes. As far as pro to pro max which, and I just made the jump, the phone after using it for a couple hours doesn't feel that big. I think they keyboard is easier to use just because it can be larger you are correct though it doesn't allow for more icons. I wish there was a way to have a smaller more dense grid, but so far thats not an option.

The advantage is for any other app, you get a bunch more screen. Chat forums, youtube, running my guitar app, maps, its is better. I've never had a plus or a Max so its new for me, but not shockingly large. The bigger phones prior to the lighter Ti case was a no go for me.

As long as I can type one handed, and my hand is large enough to do that, I'm good. I can do it just fine.

So just started setting up my 16 Pro Max and I know the screen is only .2 inches bigger but the difference in size is noticeable. Also love the almost edge to edge screen.

Is the black titanium darker than the 15 pro? Many review say that.
Just brought mine home from Apple Store. The titanium sides are definitely darker, close to black in some lights. Looks more polished as well. The glass back seems a hair darker, but really hard to tell in most lights. The camera array also looks darker. I'd post pics but it seems impossible to capture the difference in photos.

I should mention I'm upgrading from a TBlack 15 PM, so I'm looking at them side by side.

The bezels are super thin. Coming from a 15 to a 16 Pro. Almost imperceptibly larger screen. Got the Desert Titanium, she's beautiful!

Just got mine, transferring now. First time in years going with a black iphone and loving it. Upgrading from 14pm, definitely feels like an upgrade. Smaller bezels very noticeable.

I was a little concerned about getting an even bigger pro max, but the footprint on the 16 is not noticeably different. If you lay one on top of the other, you’ve got to make sure they’re perfectly lined up to tell any difference at all. That’s a relief.

I like the action button. I’m coming from a 14. I never used the ringer. Flashlight button is infinitely more useful to me.

The camera button is a bit wonky. I don’t like it for adjusting settings. But to snap a quick picture of the kids before they quit doing the cute thing and move back into tiny terrorists, it’s lightning fast.

I had always had black phones. Natural titanium is a nice change.

I was already on iOS18 so that’s really all I’ve got. Nothing revolutionary but I have no buyers remorse.
