Just wanted to share my experience with the updated FloLab OneTime Pro (0.7mm border) screen protector for my iPhone 16 Pro Max, which I received today. I removed my old protector, the Hoda Anti-Reflective, to give this one a try.

The Hoda protector was great—it covered almost the entire screen and didn’t cut into the display area at all. Honestly, I debated whether to even replace it since it wasn’t broken, but curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to test the new FloLab.

To my disappointment, even with this updated version, the FloLab still covers a small portion of the screen, something the Hoda didn’t do. That said, the FloLab does have its strengths: the anti-reflective and oleophobic coatings are noticeably better than Hoda’s, making it feel more premium in those aspects.

In the end, I wouldn’t recommend the FloLab to anyone who prioritizes a “not cutting into the screen” type of screen protector. I should have waited for reviews before making the switch—lesson learned!

That’s a shame.. can you post some pictures of it applied? I’m wondering if the 16PM is worse than the 16P since the PM has even slimmer bezels than the 16P.

I took this photo straight on using my iPad, and you can see that the “L” is almost missing in two corners. In theory, the black border of the screen protector wouldn’t cut into the screen if you could apply it perfectly—but achieving that level of precision is nearly impossible in practice.

I didn’t realize L’s being lost was a thing

Is that an indication part of the screen protector cuts into the screen area?

Luckily the onn corning one is perfect with fit

With the thin bezels on the 16 series, I have to wonder if it’s better to just go with protectors that don’t have the black border and put up with the rainbow effect and dust collection.

Do you get a lot of rainbow with the Belkin?

looks like your screen protector is rotated a bit counter clockwise like 0.5 deg
it is hard to tell if the screen protector is bad or not, but for sure the way it is applied is not perfect. (I'm not saying it is your fault ofc)

One of them is not too ashamed of paying $50 for one tempered glass screen protector and telling the truth. Other person has too much pride 🤣
Haha what have I missed? While applying my belkin I found a scratch on my screen so there’s no point in using a screen protector anymore for me :/ my phone will be naked till it gets replaced in September lol

Hey Folks --- When I had my iPhone 15 Pro Max, I used a Flolab InfinityEdge screen protector and loved it...fit perfectly well and had smooth edges. Bought the 1st Gen Flolab InfinityEdge for my 16 Pro Max and had the same problems everyone else has.

I tried a Torras one-----and meh... I went to my local Apple Store and bought a Belkin UltraGlass2 for the 16 Pro Max... I think that it's pretty damn good----no issues with border visibility, Camera "L" etc. The borders aren't quite as smooth to the touch as the Flolab.... but decent. For now, IMHO this is the best....until Flolab gets their manufacturing technique revised.

there is a new flolab already available (I have one at home but no iphone at the moment to install it) and in areas with no official Apple Stores, you can't install Belkin at the store meaning flolabs lifetime warranty is much better (even considering the delivery cost) than a similary priced Apple resseler alternative (in Poland it is Jinya brand whatever it is) where I have no idea what quality it gives and warranty is only for 6 months but only if it is the faulty glass and not like you destroyed it etc. Jsut saying that flolab (if the new one is any good) is a nice alternative bc the price for any other glass here is just a bit lower

Do you guys bother to wipe down your iPhone/use the dust stickers when installing a screen protector on a phone straight out of its box?

Yep. Only ten months away. 😉 might as well enjoy it yourself and not for the next owner.

Which Hoda screen protector did you have? It looks like their site has a couple of them.

Only problem I have with hodas is their visible logo. They say it’s invisible with the screen on but that’s a lie lol

Belkin is offering “lifetime” warranty too. I’ve already used the warranty on mine since it just broke out of nowhere. A replacement was sent free of charge to me. I’m not sure that Belkin is covering though.

Nice, yeah, the Apple official website is misleading. It states that products of the other brands (not Apple) are covered by 6 months of warranty only. But I checked the Belkin website, and actually, you are right. They offer a lifetime warranty and even better, the free shipping with Amazon Prime. So it depends on the quality of both Flolab and Belkin and if they are similar. Belkin is much cheaper to get, and even much cheaper if you consider possible replacement (of course, if the replacement is shipped for free too). Flolab is more expensive from the get-go, and they charge a crazy price for the delivery. It was the most expensive delivery I ever paid, like 3x the normal cost. And considering they shipped from China (where most of the time shipping from China is cheap or even free, like from AliExpress),I think they just include the cost of extra replacement in the cost of delivery, meaning even if you pay only for shipping when ordering a replacement, you actually pay the production cost of the glass as a part of the delivery fee. ****** thing to do, must say. I already have my Flolab and am trying to order an iPhone now, so I can't comment on the coverage, but like if Belkin is okay, it is a much better buy. And like it is better to support brands who are transparent, there is no reason why Flolab can't use Amazon for ordering, for example.
