First “review” of the revised protector I’ve found. He states that borders are perfect now. Review can be found here: Revised version
“borders are perfect” would be about the equivalent of saying @Hooterville doesn’t have a orange case addiction lol how’s he gonna point to this and say it’s perfect smh

I’ve been following this thread since getting my 16 Pro in early October. I ordered the updated Flolab once I saw it was available; after seeing some of the reviews posted here I was a bit worried. However, after getting it delivered + installed today I have to say my search for a good screen protector is now over - the coverage is perfect, the glass itself feels smooth as butter (though we will see how long this part lasts), and installation was a breeze. I’ll post a picture of the camera Ls later tonight once I have access to another camera. Overall I couldn’t be happier with it - my only guess is that the reported issues are isolated to the 16 Pro Max version.

Makes sense, the 16 pro max has thinner bezels than the 16 pro’s asymmetrical bezels

  • iPhone 16 Pro: 1.41mm (top and bottom), 1.44mm (left and right)
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: 1.36mm (top, bottom, left, and right)

As promised, here are the pictures (apologies for the quality):

I finally feel like I’m getting the FULL screen I paid for; this wasn’t the case with previous screen protectors I tried. At wide angles some light still bleeds out from under the edges, though I don’t see how this could be completely avoided while staying case friendly. For what it’s worth, the pictures exaggerate this effect and it hasn’t been at all noticeable in normal use. Oddly, fingerprints seem to show slightly more than my previous protector (Caudabe) with the screen turned off, but MUCH less when the screen is on. Somehow they almost disappear completely on the Flolab (until the screen is off again). Ultimately I’m very happy with it and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for 16 Pro users, it’s unfortunate that the PM version still seems to have issues

Man I wish the pro max screen protector was that on point. Your free to leave the thread and enjoy your iPhone without us 🥲

Good news Flolab have agreed to send out a replacement free of charge and no postage cost fingers crossed this is a better fit
That’s great news. Fingers crossed the new one is better for you. Is your phone a Pro or Pro Max? The new FloLab seems to fit better on the Pro than the Pro Max.

My phone is coming tomorrow or the day after tomorrow so I will have the opportunity to check my already laying on the desk flolab new one 😀 But have a question, you guys suggest installing the screen protector from the gecko on a fresh clean display or is it ok to check the phone first and the install after some cleaning?

It’s definitely easier to install from the beginning. Just pull the protective film off and install the protector. No need to clean the screen then.

Can you link to the website listing that this is for? They have 4 listed for the non-max pro. One says ".7mm bezels", the others don't, so I assume it's that one. Just wanted to confirm before I ordered anything.

New improved Flolab installed today and so far, so good. Got it on and it looks pretty good. Had a million bubbles that took me like 30 minutes to work out. Lucky I had one of those Spigen squeegees like Brian used in his video as they were some stubborn ass bubbles. The 4 L's show up good looking straight on, they do cut off a little while looking at an angle though. This is on the 16PM.

Praying cases don't peel this sucker up

I’m with you; they definitely could make it more clear on the site. It’s this one:

So I’ve finally had the time to install the new revised FloLab screen protector on my 16P. Here’s my take:

Fit is as close to perfect as I’ve seen. All the “L’s” are showing when looking straight on but maybe slight misaligned in tray. Right side is covered ever so slightly (maybe 0,05 mm). Nothing that bothers me.

Shipping was 12 days for me which is a lot considering waiting almost half a month for a replacement if it breaks.
Packaging was great though so I wouldn’t worry about damage doing shipping.

What are the main advantages of having a black border around the edges? Is it primarily that it reduces or eliminates the rainbow effect? It seems to be a lot of trouble to have a border when a simple clear edge eliminates the issue of potentially blocking the screen. Just curious…

I do think it’s to eliminate the rainbow glow along edges but also strengthen the edges. I’ve had a lot of screen protectors suddenly crack along the edge (had it happen with the Belkin on my 16P).

Interesting! I didn’t know that it strengthens the edges. Thanks for the info…
