I'm hearing mixed reviews about the Flolab lines for the 16.

From the other thread specifically about the Flolab protectors:
So I reached out to FloLabs letting them know about my experience and issue with the screen protectors this time around and this is what they responded with:

Hey there!

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. With the iPhone 16 lineup’s thinner bezels and curved edges, precise alignment has become more challenging. However, our screen protector has the thinnest bezel and rounded edges, and it should cover the screen perfectly as long as it’s aligned correctly.

We’re also excited to let you know that we’ve been working on a solution and will be launching a new 4D Hot Bend Glass screen protector soon. It’s designed specifically for the iPhone 16 series to ensure an even better fit without compromising the screen view.

Thank you for your patience, and if you have any other questions or would like to be notified when the new version is available, feel free to let us know!

Customer Care

So apparently there will be a new screen protector to fix the alignment issues at some point.

I had that model and returned. Rainbows on all sides.
You are correct same here I emailed them and they said the following..

Sorry about the inconvenience caused since it was a new released product caused by a material of manufacturing defect.

I think all the screen protectors have a bit of a border issue. I’m not sure if it’s worse on the flolab… someone needs to compare.

that sounds like glass that goes around the curve at the edges of the screen. I know it's just marketing mumbo jumbo though.

So i installed the clear tray torras, and the installation was perfect, no bubbles, very easy and i can see all the L's in camera app. Everything is perfect except one thing, its a dust magnet, never had a screen protector that collected so much dust on the edges and its annoying. Im going caseless and still thinking about just going without a screen protector this year as i have apple care anyway.
Do you know what’s the difference between the Torras iPhone 16 Pro Max Protectors? There is an orange and clear tray version - but what’s the main difference?

people say the clear one is the newer one. I had the clear one and not sure if anyone on MR has had the orange one.

I have tried multiple screen protectors and believe it or not the best one is Walmart’s corning glass.

Anyone tried WSKEN yet?
Thinking of ordering it while I wait for my phone to arrive. But they are so confusing this year with two options that both have the speaker cover so I’m not really sure what the difference is. I hate it when manufacturers do this.

Oh wow! I did get the Spigen Glas tr ezfit for my 16 pro. It doesn't affect the image at all, super easy to install, I can feel the oleophobic coating is awesome, no rainbow effect. It's pretty much perfect, except it doesn't go edge to edge, which is what I wanted. It does cover ever so slightly more than the screen. I opened the camera app and nothing goes past the glass edges.

The problem is that the space between the glass and case = dust magnet.

Does anyone know if the Belkin Ultra 2 retains the same image quality, no rainbow, is oleophobic? Cause if it does really cover edge to edge I might jump on that.

How does it look with sunglasses on? Is the screen crystal clear? No UV rainbow effect due to lamination?

OK, so I just installed the Belkin UltraGlass 2 which was delivered directly from the Apple Store, so the same that they’re installing at the store. Frankly, I don’t know what people are seeing, but to my eye the rainbow effect is actually worse than with the Spigen Glas.tR. The fit is OK, but no better than the Spigen. The install process with the Spigen is easier, and the adhesive also seems better on the Spigen, with fewer bubbles to start with. I was able to work all of the bubbles out of the Belkin, but it took a lot longer than with the Spigen. Others may disagree, but I’d say save some money and buy the Spigen from Amazon - it’s far less expensive and you get two protectors in the box compared to one Belkin. To me the Belkin seems way overpriced and no better that the Spigen. YMMV.

The Zagg XTR4 is another one with no black border, but it's expensive and I haven't see any feedback about it.

Was trying to search for a screen protector with anti-reflection similar to flolab and saw that ultraglass has a similar version: https://a.co/d/9hywEno

Anyone tried this already?

"Hot bend" sounds more like an actual curve than "3D edge" or whatever marketing term. Whitestone used to make actually curved protectors for Samsungs back then but those used UV glue.

Not impossible. They'll probably just cost a pretty penny.

Applied the ESR 3 pack (£9.99) from Amazon with the guide and it perfect in terms of no bubbles etc.

However, I don’t like the fact it’s not fully to the edge, any recommendations for screen protectors that are truly edge to edge?

Yep. Truly edge to edge with little to no borders and 3D or whatever they call it tapered edges so no hard raised sides ?

In the past for my 14PM I used to get those that covered the speaker and it worked out great. No dust inside the tiny earpiece speaker.

So just came back from Apple Store. Bought 2 iPhone 16 Pros. 256GB & 512GB.
On 256GB one the protector fits perfectly. First attempt.
On 512GB one, 6 failed attempts, ESR and Tersely. Apple Store tried 2 Belkins, same issue. The whole border is not sitting right.
The lady at the store said to get a new iPhone and take the refund of this one.
They’ve actually been facing this issue with quite a few other customers too so the worst part is that I don’t even know if the new one will have the same issue or not.
Honestly kinda pissed. What’s up the QC at Apple? No Apple intelligence, now screen warp issue.

So the issue is with the iPhone?

Seems like it. Took me a few hours to setup this phone and will have to waste another few hours.
The issue is that I’ll have to buy another one, set that up using the current one which will take a few hours then go back to Apple Store to return the first one lol.
2 Apple Store visits with setting up time wasted.

I replaced the Torras 16 PM in clear installer with the Apple installed 16 PM Belkin yesterday and it fits perfectly.

Still like Torras diamondshield for 15 PM the best, as could not even tell it was on. Hopefully, they can replicated that on a revised model this year.

Did you install it in the Apple store ?
