I honestly feel like the iPhone air is what the se4 will be. Bc otherwise it makes no sense
Not just kids. I don't need a phone with all the fixings.
I'm good with my 16 Pro for a 3-4 years, but after that, I'll be looking for something more minimal and this would fit the bill, if it's priced below the Pro and an equal or smaller screen than the regular 16.
Nothing is a fact until Apple personally announces it.

I would expect two display sizes for the Air lineup, as is usual - so why do these rumors still only mention a 6,6" phablet? It's nice that it's thin, but still HUGE.

How is this article a fact. it's written as such. Sure it might turn out to be largely true but right now its January and such a device is months away from being unveiled if at all.
Perhaps this thread title should be changed to “iPhone17 Air launching this year with 6 nerfed capabilities.” Camera, speaker, thinness, etc.

the word you are looking for is, 'rumored specs' not 'new features'. the only 'feature' of this phone appears to be that its thin. thats it. and then all the regressive compromises that are required to achieve that.

It makes no sense to you but it will make a lot of cents for Apple.

I don't know where The Information is getting that from, but up until now all rumors have pointed to the Air being priced less than a Pro and Pro Max

lol, only two things could drive me to buy a 17. A dramatically upgraded camera package, or a iPhone Pro Mini with the current Pro camera package. Not a faster processor, not a better display, not thinner, the Phones are already great, and there are no applications pushing it forward, it’s a phone in the end…
I just want the pro to come in different sizes so I can buy the one that fits my hand.
Mac Rumors, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop calling the dynamic island a "feature." It's not a feature, it's an excuse.

Just think how thin it could go if they eject the screen, the battery and case to a separate add-on product(s). In time, we could pay "same great price" for an empty box... and then buy back what we used to have as standard features in a collection of add-on purchases. 🎉
Nobody is copying the huge notch, lol. Everyone else has a tiny holepunch camera.
Could never leave the Pro lineup. I use the telephoto camera just as much as the main cam.
There was an early rumor saying that the "Slim" would be an ultra-flagship, priced above the ProMax. Later rumors seem to contradict that, indicating it will replace the Plus in the lineup and be similarly priced.
Personally, the Air sounds like exactly what I want: larger screen, ProMotion, lower weight/heft. I would've gotten the Plus by now if it had ProMotion, but I simply won't go back to 60Hz after using a phone with ProMotion for two and a half years now.
