In my opinion I think that is the biggest "feature" and selling point for this phone.
A reason why I still stick with my iPhone 12 Pro. it's a gimmick. no reason to not go full screen at this point.
An item is only as thin as its thickest point. Plus, who wants a thinner phone?

Reading the specifications this sounds like the new iPhone SE. Are you sure this isn’t the iPhone SE?
Pricing rumors are possibly incorrect.
This would be genius to take the place of the Plus iPhones, as then it had enough missing to justify an upgrade to the Pro Max for some users.
If only it'd have the screen size of the mini, then I might be interested.

They will tie for 1st place with Samsung, whose S25 Slim is expected to be announced on Jan-22 and launched on May. In view of this showdown, both companies have already postponed launch dates, as first won't be enough. This is especially true for Samsung who will go full-spec and full-price, whereas their first foldables were just full-hype. Apple is trying to play low-spec and high-price, but clearly the pricing will be adjusted after Samsung Slim presentation & assessment.
It's for people bored of the same design who want to flash around something that is very obviously a brand new model.

Why? It's a low spec phone clearly aimed at teens & the elderly. If the specs are correct than it should be lauded as Apples thinnest & lowest spec phone.
As has been said, it's all about $$$ now for Apple in the Teflon Tim era.
Too many trade offs just to have a thinner phone. Think I'll pass on this one.
Lol, NONE of these phones nor 2024 released iphones were built FOR "Apple Intelligence". They would have been designed and specced prior to the release of Chat GPT.
