I'm also debating between Sheath and Paragon (leaning towards the Paragon.)

Funny enough, I had a Spigen Liquid Air for my old 13PM. It's way lighter than my temporary case but I don't really notice it weight-wise as much as I notice how less bulky it is while holding it. For the price you can't go wrong with it but when I first got it the back felt "dry" but eventually it became it became oily. (with heavy use) The drop protection was surprisingly decent, my old phone has no scratches just a little dust.

Do you think your old Sheath is bulky? More than anything, I'm hoping the Paragon feels less bulky.
Form my experience the Paragon feels less bulky than the Sheath and also feels less bulky than the Apple silicone believe it or not. YMMV though as people have different perceptions.

Okay, call me crazy but this latest Sheath is excellent. Maybe my imagination, but the sides seem like they are much more rounded off and just feel great in the hand. The seams are still there but not sharp at all on this version. The seam on the bottom looks the most pronounced, but I'm not feeling any sharpness at all. The bottom ports are also now perfectly aligned on this one. Works perfect with the new BlueO plateau protector, no front edges peeking out or any other problems using the BlueO.

Overall, this latest Sheath is a WINNER  Here are some pics:

The extra thickness of the Blueo protector doesnt “push” the phone up, thereby exposing a little bit of the aluminum when viewing it from the top?

Nope, I’ve only tried it with this new Sheath and everything is just fine. The BLUEO is a little thicker than a regular skin but much thinner than the X-One that I tried.
I will try it with the Paragon in the next day or two and report back on that. Smooth sailing so far with the new Sheath 🙂

#sheathgang or what?

I’m smooth sailing with the #paragonpirates

For some people it matters, I don’t like to add bulk to a case if it causes fitting issues.

For example, if the case doesnt wrap tightly around the phone, it could pop up if the phone was dropped, etc…
Ok gotcha. I use a skin to cover the plateau that I got from an Etsy seller. It was difficult to install because I think the silver iPhone being light color. I installed it not perfect but you need a magnifying glass to see it’s not perfect.

I’m warming up to the Grip. Day three with it and I have no immediate desire to take it off right now. 😂 I might try another skin with it sometime in the future. It came with the triple white Damascus skin, too. But while that one is more grippy it’s gonna be dirty in no time. I’m eyeing one of the leather skins. Has anyone tried these before?

How’s the form factor vs the Mous? Why are you liking this more than the Mous at the moment?

hey @Ava* the grip is a tight fitting case. i had to apply all my strength to get it on. but surprisingly it’s easy to remove. ymmv but instead of starting on top i just push out the bottom corners.
yeah I watched the Dbrand instructions and they also recommend removing it from the bottom. Guess my fingers are not strong enough 💅I will try again when the PR Gen 7 arrives 😂

My guess is you’ll like the PR Gen 7 but not as much as the Mous or Grip.

When I had my Grip I had the black leather skin, it was nice and felt premium.

From what I read earlier from what @Hooterville mentioned a few posts earlier the new stock apparently comes with the install instructions.

I noticed the slightly off center cutouts but that honestly doesn’t bother me too much, I’ll make a mention to Caudabe about it to see what they say but it’s not a deal breaker for me personally.

I also notice the rattle in the buttons but once I installed the celestial blue 2.5 buttons it pretty much fixed the problem. Did you keep your buttons stock?

I have the new stock then, because it came with installation instructions and a pamphlet for the lookbook. I did keep the buttons stock, but after watching this Video I believe I have the 2.5 buttons.

Why don’t you have the Grip now?
I didn't like the way the buttons felt, I prefer cases with physical buttons like the Caudabe or Mous. The inside also had no lining which was a concern for scratches, felt like a cost cutting measure.

But the biggest issue was taking my phone out've of my pocket would pull my pocket inside out, which was annoying.

Currently daily-ing a Grip case with a real leather skin on my iPhone Air, as mentioned it does make it feel premium and the leather is a proper nice smelling one as well.

Anyone have a caudabe coupon code that's better than 15% off?

Sheath isn't a thin case but i don't find it bulky like other protective cases out there. It's a good compromise and it's been a very good case on my 13pro. Weight is really the main downside as the material is dense so theres improvements to be made in this regard. Also get rid of the microfiber lining as it's pointless and being able to take the case off to rinse it like the 13pro version is nice.

For me I'm leaning a bit towards the sheath again. I like the uniform lip and back grip. The paragon shows finger prints on the back and the mag safe ring stain effect where as sheath is really good in these regards.

Still I might try the liquid air and see how it goes. I expect caudabe will have a new years sale so i could swap out then if needed.

Here’s are specs for the Pro

Sheath
153.6 x 75.9 x 13
44g

Paragon
153.5 x 75.3 x 13.0(top/bottom lip) x 11.8(middle lip)
42g

The first case I got from the Caudabe was the Sheath and to be honest at first it was heavy AF. Hated the weight. I kept switching back to the Apple Silicone. Then I decided to just run the Sheath and then I got used to it after about a week. Now both the Sheath and Paragon don’t feel heavy even a little bit.

You sure about the paragon weight? Seems weird that there's a 6g difference between the max and regular sheath but only a 2g difference for paragon.

I’m sure about the weight. It’s a Pro precise.
