I didn’t care for it. Bought it directly from the Apple Store and brought it back. Has those dots but was slippery and the front of the case shows the color of your phone all the way around. So I had the black version, with a silver ring all the way around… I prefer around the screen to be black, less distracting.
Yea even with the matrix grip was still slippery

Just got mine yesterday. I like it, this is Oz Green on a Deep Blue Pro Max. Although I do tend to swap out cases regularly I've enjoyed the Moft Movas cases for the past few years. Last year not so much with the camera control cutout, but this year they have camera control and it works just fine. The fit and feel is the same as ever.
Is the fit on yours super tight and difficult to remove like mine was? I had the blue, the green looks great too.

What do you like about the Beats Rugged? Do you mind not have a precise cut?
I like that, in contrast to other similarly expensive cases, it is well made, fits like a glove, protects the phone very well and has very nice clicky buttons. Will be my case for outdoor activities now.
And I don’t mind not having a precise cut.

Edit: one could argue a Mous case fits that description as well. But I don’t like how hard that case is to remove. The Beats rugged is fairly easy to remove.

It seems discounted apple cases during Amazon prime only applies to the US. Here in AU Amazon they’re still full price.
It was discounted during prime day here in Germany, too. And the other Apple cases, too. But we get mostly B-stock then. Like slightly damaged or even missing packaging for example.

I have been using the ESR Cloud Series Silicone with the Stash Stand, and I have to say, I have loved it so far. I have the silver 17 Pro Max, and I got the black one because I knew it would be a temporary case until I got the Phone Rebel or a dbrand Tank. ESR makes solid cases. I have loved them for the price. And I like the metal stand on it. No, it has not caused any scratches or damage to the new phone. The CC button functions similarly to the OEM, and the buttons are clicky. The only thing I hate about these cases is the lanyard holes - it's just a spot for dust/dirt/lint to get in, and I never use them. The case feels great in my hand; I don't have fingerprints all over it, and it's not too bulky. Great magnets as well!

I tried the Benk ArmourPro and had some fitment issues. It too had great magnets, but there was a spot at the top of the phone where the speaker is that was raised. So that went back.

The Pitaka Ultra Slim wasn't bad, but it is just a very slim case. It protects against scratches, but it wouldn't protect against a significant fall. It was also damn near impossible to get off. I thought I was going to break it trying, but I finally managed to remove it without damage. That will stay in the box outside of some emergency or until I decide to sell it.

For a budget-friendly, yet sturdy and decent-looking basic case, the Peerock Shockproof case is a nice option. It's now around $17, but it is light, sturdy, and has great buttons. If I didn't love the ESR as much as I do, I would be in this case. I have the matte black, which is similar to a frosted/translucent case. It looks great. The magnets are not some cheap version where the phone pops off on a bump or your wallet slides around. Similar to the Benks strength, but not as strong as the ESR. It even has a CC button that is just as good as the one ESR is using. I would bet they are the same—really great response.

Anyone tried the Rhinoshield SolidX this year? I always liked the solid suit but it was like a wet bar of soap. Video on YouTube made it look more textured but hoping for first hand experience…

Finally got my Casekoo in the mail.
+ Feels lighter and grippier than my ESR.
+ Higher raised edges to protect the screen compared to the ESR (raise-ivity is slam-boy certified, as Flossy would say).
+ MagSafe ring stand seems more robust than the foldout stand of the ESR (time will tell).
- Top cluster is less protected, as the ESR has precise cutouts for each camera lens and light and sensor individually.
- Can’t prop the phone up with the MagSafe stand when using a MagSafe charger (ESR stand design is better in this specific regard.

I actually doubt they would say anything about that.

Did they say anything official when they changed the material from fine woven to tech woven? I don’t know the answer, but I am curious.
Yes they did. They spoke about the TW cases in the keynote.

Apple would 100% say if they have made change to a product that could be seen as an improvement and would generate more sales. As would any company with any product.

In my opinion, people who say that there is a change or a difference in these cases are just telling themselves what they want to hear. Which is absolutely fine and they’re not bad cases at all, each to their own but I don’t agree with some posts that can be seen as posts trying to to convince people to buy something because they think there’s improvement in something when it may not be (in this case highly likely isn’t) the truth.

If there was a difference or improvement, Apple would shout about it.

That’s all I’m saying on this one.
I don't know..
One the older silicone cases, mine would be covered in pocket lint in just a couple days. They also felt...sticky somehow? Not pleasant.
The 17 Pro Max case still has no lint at all, and it feels very silky to the touch. Almost lke a velvety feel. No stickiness at all.
