Pitaka is quite a disappointment. The case is indeed very thin and light, but it slips quite a bit, has no overhang over the display, and the CC cutout is uncomfortably sharp and cuts into the hand. Shame.

That's one thing I don't like about the 600D aramid on these shells, how sharp they can be on the edges and cutouts. They also feel extremely flimsy compared to 1500D. I remember my first aramid shell was when Pitaka came out with 600D and i broke it taking the case off one hour after I got it. 600D is also harder to manufacture into a case, shows less fingerprints, and lets you make cooler patterns because of how small the weave is, but I would take 1500D over it because it just feels a bit more substantial. Benks and Pitaka have gone in full with 600D sadly. One of the reasons I didn't order the Pitaka was I have one for the Pixel 9 Pro XL and it just feels overly thin and sharp.

Also, is that CC cutout cut in deeper to the rear of the case compared to the Power button cutout?

I’m with you, I prefer the 1500D which is slightly thicker and has a more textured surface. Only the black/gray is 600D though; the colored versions are still 1500D.

I guess Pitaka still does 1500D for the color plain weave. I assumed all the patterns and designs are 600D since you need a higher "resolution" to make those patterns look good.

Surprised I actually found a nice 1500D case for the Air off AliExpress for 16 bucks that arrived yesterday, it got raised to 30 dollars now. I was thinking it was from the same factory Benks makes theirs as the cutout shapes and fitment slots match along with the sharp as $h1t camera protector, but seeing as how Benks only does 600D, who knows.

I’m pretty sure the colored patterns are also still 1500D (I had most of them last year). If you dig into the specs, the black/gray twill is the only one that’s thinner and labeled specifically “600D”. It also has a distinctly smoother finish and is sharper around the edges.

Okay. I recognize that I am talking to true iPhone case connoisseurs and what I’m about to say is likely blasphemy but I wanted something a little more interesting than plain silicone and I have a pet so the tech woven is likely a terrible idea. I trolled Amazon searching and searching, found a $20CND case from overseas and hit buy.

My little case planes, trains and automobiled it to me and it is finally here. I didn’t expect much but I kind of love it. I need a black bezel. And the bumper is strong enough to not gap, provide good protection in case of a fall and fits perfectly. The cut outs are good and the buttons work well. And the faux alligator (it claims to be leather) feels quality. The badge could be smaller or less obtrusive but, overall, I’m surprised and very happy. It is exactly what I was looking for. (DISCLAIMER - it is a $20 case from Amazon).

Okay. Bring on the Memoji trolls. I can take it.

Exactly my point.

Those who state there is a material change are saying there DEFINTIELY is based on their “user experience” and that they are correct.

But then say to those who do not believe there to be any changes to the material based on their user experience are wrong and trolls 😂😂

Which sounds more trolling? 😂😂 I’m done with this now. Anyone with an apple silicone case, dunk it into a tracksuit bottom pocket or any pocket and it’ll come out with fluff on it. You can tell yourself it doesn’t all you want but it will. That is something I can guarantee 😂

they are great cases but let’s just try and not state something is fact when you don’t actually know if it is. The last sentence of the above paragraph is fact 😉 😆

Finished with this subject.
It’s a phone case at the end of the day. The terms trolling and rehashing a topic that was put to bed is childish behavior. Time to move on bloke.

I ordered my Caudabe Celestial Blue Sheath for the 17 PM on September 10 and since it completely missed its late September window, I sent Caudabe support an email about my frustration with the lack of proactive communication regarding shipment delays.

They sent me a partial refund, as well as noting that the blue Sheaths are just starting to show up at US warehouses next week :/

Let me translate this for you - If your lucky you might have the case by the end of November 🤣

So I placed one caudabe order, then decided I wanted to use a 15% off code so I created a new order. I sent in a request to cancel the first order.

Of course, it’s been many days now with no response. How long would you give them before just doing a chargeback? I know exactly what’s going to happen: they aren’t going to reply to my cancellation request until shortly after they’ve mailed the order out, conveniently, at which time my only option will be to wait for it to arrive and then pay return shipping to return it, so I’d like to order that.
