So I returned the terra cotta silicone and got the Sienna TechWoven. It’s much more understated and subdued than the purple TW that I had since Day 1.

I think I have too many cases now LOL

Speaking of hard to get off cases…..
My daughter wanted to try the pitaka sunset on my phone and now I can’t get it off šŸ˜…
So I guess that will be my case for the next foreseeable future
Omg nightmare 😩 I had the pitaka for my 15 PM and always had to wrestle that thing to get it off the phone. I was always worried I’d damage phone and/or case. Thankfully the 15PM was a beast and survived every encounter with a case from hell without so much as a scratch. But I’m never getting one of those ever again. šŸ™‚ā€ā†”ļø

Hope you’ll get it off eventually! šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»you could try wedging something plasticky in between to get a better angle to grip it.

This is one that Ive been looking at. Sent nomad a question on the weight. Could you post some pictures with the phone in it? Are you able to get the weight of it?

EDIT: Nomad responded and its 28 grams. Think I'm going to order the black for my black air.
I'm looking for weight measure too šŸ™‚.

I ordered a Clear Spiegen case for mine a few days before I went to collect in store, just in case I didn't like the TW cases. As it turns out, I love the TW case-and although I went black, it was hard not to pick up the Sienna too (I don't think my wife would have been very happy with me!). But, the more I see it, the harder it's becoming to not pick up as the orange looks great with it.

I like it!

It’s a very nice colour, I didn’t have an easy time picking between it and green. I had the Golden Brown on my blue 13PM, and Umber only black 14PM, and really liked both combos. I might look at adding it later if the green holds up well enough.

I know! Not too worried about the case (although would rather it didn’t break) but I really don’t want the frame scratched up 😢 luckily I am liking the case so will use it for the next little while and then figure out a way to get it off in a couple weeks 🫣

They’re in the UK. How’s their shipping to US?

I see they have clear gloss. Looks like you got clear matte?
Yeah, i got the clear matte, actually i got 4 of them in case 😁

No idea about the shipment to US, but they've sent it the day after my order.

And it was sent in a nice envelope, thus there was no custom tax, which we always have even for this kind of cheap orders.

My ESR clear case arrived today (from Amazon).

Looks and feels good on my sage iPhone 17. Camera control button works well.

However, I've already had the phone for two weeks caseless, including taking it with me on a city break. I'm not sure if I want to keep the case on all the time. I'll leave it on for a couple of days and decide.

I've gotten used to it after one day. I think I'll have the case on most of the time. Only irritation is that I have an old wireless charger that I sometimes use; it now demands very precise positioning for it to work.

It's a magsafe case, but I don't own any magsafe chargers so that's wasted on me at the moment.

Ultra Hybrid T has a button for camera control. However this year the back is not fully clear. It is similar to Apple's clear case with the bottom half covered in either Orange/Blue/Black/White.

Last year, for the 16 Pro/Pro Max, the Ultra Hybrid had an opening for camera control button. There was no protection for the button and is completely exposed. This year for the 17 Pro/Pro Max, the camera control has a thin TPU cover.

Wanted a fully clear case, which only the Ultra Hybrid offers. Was under the impression that I will have to get the Hybrid 'T' to get covering for the button but then it would not have been a clear case. So I am very glad that this year's normal Ultra Hybrid has a covering for the button and is a fully clear case.

So, this year 'T' offers camera control button but back is not fully clear and normal Ultra Hybrid is fully clear with a thin TPU covering over the button.
On most cases with an open camera control it’s sort of indented and not flush which protect the button.

How is the installation?

I found it. I’m curious to hear how well this works!

Synthesis all boxed and ready to return. Told Liz I’d do a chance for a precise sheath, but I want my 20% rewards added that I’ll get back for the synthesis return. Not going to hold my breath. At this point I’ll wait for the return label and just use my cactus.
You got a reply that fast from Liz ?

Interesting! So if I understand what you’re saying, the non-T version covers the camera control, but the cover is just TPU, not a capacitive button? That would be a first.

EDIT: I found it. I’m curious to hear how well this works!

Yes. Was just about to post it. Works well. Found no issues. Just started using it.

Anti yellow?
Advertised anti-yellow. However in reality it is no. All my past Spigen cases have turned yellow after some time. Will definitely change it once the case changes it colour. A perfectly clear case is needed to see the proper orange colour. Yellowing case looks ghastly.

I never was as unsure about cases as this year…
I have an ESR hybrid + screen protector ready at home to get started when my iPhone 17pro arrives on Friday…

I am thinking about going caseless for years but never but was always to scared… but I have apple care so I think I could at least try it till it breaks once or so… (Iā€˜d do a screen protector anyways and maybe a skin for the MagSafe back)
But I think Iā€˜d like a little protection for the edges might still be niceso maybe a bumper?
Arc or a rhinoshild bumper are on my list…
But the Arc is so expensive and a rhinoshild covers the edges completely so it’s a different feeling…

A super thin clear case might be nice… but those super thin case are always solid …
(those pitika cases look nice though…so maybe something ultra thin instead…)

Nomad do those magnetic back plates that are leather. Could be ideal for what you want.

Normally lurk on here but thought I’d share. Wanted to go caseless this year as usual but with the aluminium seeming a bit more prone to damage wanted some form of protection.

First case was Torres ultra thin clear - was far from thin, just a basic clear soft case - returned

Apple silicone - nice enough but too grippy to pocket, returned

Tech woven - nice but a bit bulky and not convinced worth the money quality wise, visible glue etc, returned

Nudient thin clear case - no good, felt basic, recessed buttons not nice, let loads of dust in, returned

Sticking with the below, memumi ultra slim case, actually nice quality, cheap which is good as these ultra thin cases need replaced after an outdoor drop. As a previous caudabe veil / peel case user I think this is pretty much as good and a third of the price. Thought this might help for anyone that basically wants caseless feel but hates the scuffs and scratches.

Looks nice! Does it still work with magsafe?
