I bet these backwards Magsafe magnets are what happened with the 17PM Paragon cases. You know that the 17 Pro Max is a hot seller and these cases would have been manufactured and shipped out long before the standard Pro models.

Just wondering if this was the case, will they start from scratch or just rip out the lining, dig out the backwards magnets and try to glue in new magnets? Guess we will find out once the cases arrive all scratched up with bubbles and junk under the microfiber lining :(

What a total ClusterFck Caudabe has become 🤡

Love the look of the TechWoven (one of the best looking cases for the 17 Pro in my opinion), but have seen/heard enough examples of people dropping them and there being damage to the phone, particularly when you use a screen protector with it as there's no lip/raised edge. One of the best case reviewers on YouTube (MobileReviewsEh) said similar - it looks great, and the back protection is fair, but you wouldn't want to drop it face down on the screen.

If it had better drop protection I'd be all over it but I'm just not convinced.

It's not that there is no lip protection on the TechWoven case, it's that the case doesn't really snap on very well and will let the phone pop right out. The case may as well have no lip protection, because what is there is not going to help in a fall.

And it's not just the screen at risk. The side edges and corners can end up mashed.

My screen protector is thin enough that when I push my phone all the way into the TechWoven case I can feel a good amount of lip above the screen, as if it would protect things. But I know that if I drop it face-down, my iPhone will basically slide right out of the case and will be hit with full-force of the drop at whatever spot it lands on.

With the case on, the gap around the edges is big enough that you can see the color of your phone around the display. So it's clear that Apple didn't even try to make it hold on the phone very well.
Dropping TechWoven on its side or back? It may be fine. Dropping TechWoven on its front? Well, you're simply dropping it wrong.

The look of the case is great. The feel is great. But yeah, I would NOT trust it to protect my phone.

Still in a limbo which case to order… Spigen somehow decided to (almost) eliminate the clearance of the screen lip… I had a hybrid Spigen before on my 14 pro and it saved my phone a couple of times. Thinking about two cases for the silver 17 PM - one “open face”, one precise. Does Mouse limitless + Dbrand grip making a sense?

Lot of case companies seem to not offer good lipage. Was surprised when I got the Apple silicone how much lipage there is.

I really like the Dbrand grip, very comfortable to hold. The lip on top and bottom is good while the middle is flush with my ESR screen protector, love that.

I have a Mous Limitless but I think I’ll return it. The sides are made of a harder material and the boxy form of the case makes it slightly uncomfortable. The Mous has more lip all around.

Another case that has a good lip all around is Caudabe Synthesis. I guess it’s a bit boxy too but it’s more comfortable than the Mous imo.

This morning I sent Caudabe a message on Reddit asking about the status on my order (ordered on 10/1) and received a partial refund for shipping. I’ll take that and wait a little longer for a shipping label, although I haven’t waited as long as those who preordered in September.
