I know most people like the strongest MagSafe they can get, but overly powerful magnets drive me nuts. When they’re that strong it takes two hands to avoid picking up the mount or pulling it from the vent in the car, which gets annoying. Of course, magnets that are too weak are the opposite problem. Apple has guidelines for this stuff, which it seems many case makers simply ignore.

Is the gen7 boxy or have curved rounded edges?
Nice and round

Luckily my car mount is rock solid otherwise yeah I’d agree with you that would get annoying. Magbak makes the best MagSafe mount, if only their cases weren’t so ugly lol

Course Motorsports has the best Magsafe car mounts I've ever used. You can actually get a mount (the hard mount behind the Magsafe pad) for individual vehicles. I've got one in my Chevy Silverado work truck and it's amazing.

It has a small bracket that uses existing screws behind the trim to mount. Rock solid and their Magsafe mounts are strong and have a rubber face to protect whatever is mounted to it.

How thick is the mous for the air?
The Limitless has gotten thinner over the past couple of years, with the edges supposedly now at 0.6mm thick (I haven’t measured this myself to confirm). Here are a few pics compared to the Apple Clear, which as you can see, is nearly identical in height/width. The biggest difference is the depth from front to back. The Mous has a thicker back (micorfiber+PC+aramid), plus a more substantial screen lip (particularly top and bottom), making it roughly 2mm deeper at the grip area. The other main difference is the weight: 21 vs 43 grams. Overall, considering how much more protective it is over the Apple, the difference is not that significant IMO.

This looks good, I’ll check it out. Thanks.

That Mous sure is a sweet looking case :)

Does a tight fitting case not exist for this generation? Returning the Spigen Tough Armor as it is real loose around the volume and action buttons.

Guess I really should just stick with the Tech Woven at this point. Also considering the Apple Silicone case if anyone has any opinions on this years version.

I absolutely love my silicone case this year. Feels different for me in a good way. Super grippy without that sticky feeling and the buttons are super clicky. I’ve never experienced the lint issue or wear/chipping issue on a silicone case even after 8+ months of use. This years version seems to have clicker buttons and a spot on fit. That’s just my opinion and experience.

Just picked up a standard beats case from Amazon in granite grey for the 17PM for 24 doll hairs. Couldn’t help it as I was curious and for that price why not. Pleasantly surprised. Buttons feel exactly like a naked phone and it has an open bottom which for me is what I prefer. Great fit also.

How’s the grip? I’ve heard varying things, but I want to give it a shot. I have an Apple Silicone as well.

Good to hear! My wife has been using the Silicone case on her 16 since she got it in January and I noticed that there is no lint catchy sticky feeling. Just one small piece of silicone missing in one of the lower corners but she also doesn't take care of her phones like I do.

The apple silicone is much much grippier. The beats is more of a hard silicone/hard tpu and I can see how some say it is slippery. As another user mentioned the slightest bit of moisture and the case does become grippy. For 24 bucks IMHO it’s well worth the price. Best I can describe it..it’s like holding the actual phone. Super slim.
