Replying to myself to add, in case people are considering a Rhinoshield case: Reviewers for the clear case report it being so hard to get on and off the phone it scratched the phone. And reviewers for the SolidX report it gets warped and loose over time and just falls off the phone?
Sheesh, really not a good year for case makers….
I looked into this at one point and discovered that polycarbonate (PC) contains BPA, but TPU and silicone do not. So, clear, hard shell type cases made from PC are to be avoided if BPA is a concern. Some cases use a PC inner skeleton, but the outer surfaces are covered with TPU (your Mous is like this). So while these contain BPA, there is no direct contact with the PC, so no direct contact with BPA.
It seems Caudabe is using PC in some, if not all, of their designs now (the Sheath used to be pure TPU, but they added an internal back plate recently). The Synthesis and Paragon both have rigid backplates, presumably made from PC.

Hope UAG add the cc button to more case, not keen on slitty buttons though.....
Now about a week into my travels with Spigen Rugged Armor. Lots of pix taken.
Grippy, slimmish, magsafe works well with wallet (metro cards) and grip ring. Side buttons are responsive, but the slits allow detritus in, I’m sure.
But one thing I wish that could be most improved is the CC button. Covered, but requires a too deep or emphatic push. Don’t know if that’s the case or inherent to the button itself, since I’ve never used it bare.
Which begs the question — who does a good job with the CC button? Even just in terms of the shutter action and not the slide adjustments.

Well, that sucks with the Paragon 😩 Are the new Sheath buttons wider, taller or just fatter if you compare with the old ones?
I can see moulding marks that you complained about with the first one??
I’m waiting for the pitaka ultra guard in moonrise to be available to order. The pitaka cases look nice.
The Apple/Beats cases have the best CC button.
Do any of their cases have a CC button? I may be missing something, but I couldn’t find one.
Less prominent than before tbh. On the other one you could feel the seam.
Ill take this as a win and move on tbh.

Guess I'll keep the Mous for special occasions (returning it would probably be pricey anyway). I have a Phone Rebel Air coming in tomorrow that I was able to order via Amazon that's also made from TPU, so should be good there, too. Never tried one of these before. And also ordered a Ryan London (leather) case that should arrive sometime in December probably... 😬 Maybe one of these cases will stick for more than a week 😂
And shame about Caudabe... Paragon uses a PC shell, like you said.
They feel shorter in height on the outside. Ill compare them when I get home.
Let us know how you like the PR Air. I had one for my 16PM which had a bad MagSafe bump straight out of the box. I haven’t heard that mentioned this year, so I’m hoping it’s something they fixed for this iteration.

lol 😂 I hear ya. Idk I’ve never had that lint/dust problem with ASC. I also don’t understand how people wear them down. I’ve never had a chip or any of the silicone wear off.
I have two cats and a dog here and not a single hair stuck to my AS case
No problems at all with lint. BUT I already have a small chip at the top despite handling phone and case like a raw egg. So no case is perfect, so far.

So, even the fake UAG cases have a CC button

Sal, any worries of the Paragon scratching the sides of your phone? Those inside display edges are mighty sharp.
These images are probably just early CG renders that were from UAG, but the eventual products dropped the button with cutouts in place. You can see them clearly in the hands-on videos with the actual retail cases.
Speaking of sharp display edges ... the Mous case also has them. And the case itself is rigid AF. I'm scared to put my phone into that case tbh 😅
Oh this is good to hear. I just got the AS case but haven't opened it because of the concern with pet hair. Does the material feel the same as previous years?
