New Sheath buttons are perfect. The whole case is perfect now.
Replying to myself to add, in case people are considering a Rhinoshield case: Reviewers for the clear case report it being so hard to get on and off the phone it scratched the phone. And reviewers for the SolidX report it gets warped and loose over time and just falls off the phone?Mous Limitless speckled fabric arrived today. And while it seems to be well made, I do not like that it adds edges back to a phone that is finally smooth and round again? 😒
Also, while looking through my case pile here I noticed BPA harm warnings on some of the packagings, including the Mous, an Otterbox and the Tech 21 case… Can anyone tell me if the Caudabe cases also contain BPA?
The search for a perfect case is to tiring this time around…. 😫 Guess it’s back to the drawing board and a leather case might be an option if I don’t want to subject myself to BPA all day.

I looked into this at one point and discovered that polycarbonate (PC) contains BPA, but TPU and silicone do not. So, clear, hard shell type cases made from PC are to be avoided if BPA is a concern. Some cases use a PC inner skeleton, but the outer surfaces are covered with TPU (your Mous is like this). So while these contain BPA, there is no direct contact with the PC, so no direct contact with BPA.Mous Limitless speckled fabric arrived today. Well, that sucks with the Paragon 😩 Are the new Sheath buttons wider, taller or just fatter if you compare with the old ones?Ok Caudabe update. I know we all sick and tired of all the negative talk but it is what it is.
Opened my package this morning and have to say Sheath is perfect and new buttons are here too.

Unfortunately my replacement Paragon has the same issue with magnets. Ive emailed Liz to arrange a return shipping label for both cases so they can investigate further. Im happy to work with them to resolve this issue.
I can see moulding marks that you complained about with the first one??New Sheath buttons are perfect. The whole case is perfect now.View attachment 2576360
I’m waiting for the pitaka ultra guard in moonrise to be available to order. The pitaka cases look nice. That one actually just arrived this afternoon, I really like it. I just went out to dinner and a couple of friends complimented on it.
The Apple/Beats cases have the best CC button.Which begs the question — who does a good job with the CC button? Even just in terms of the shutter action and not the slide adjustments.
Do any of their cases have a CC button? I may be missing something, but I couldn’t find one.Hope UAG add the cc button to more case, not keen on slitty buttons though.....
Less prominent than before tbh. On the other one you could feel the seam.I can see moulding marks that you complained about with the first one??
That's good to know, thanks for the info! Appreciate it.I looked into this at one point and discovered that polycarbonate (PC) contains BPA, but TPU and silicone do not. It seems Caudabe is using PC in some, if not all, of their designs now (the Sheath used to be pure TPU, but they added an internal back plate recently). The Synthesis and Paragon both have rigid backplates, presumably made from PC.
They feel shorter in height on the outside. Ill compare them when I get home.Well, that sucks with the Paragon 😩 Are the new Sheath buttons wider, taller or just fatter if you compare with the old ones?
Let us know how you like the PR Air. I had one for my 16PM which had a bad MagSafe bump straight out of the box. I haven’t heard that mentioned this year, so I’m hoping it’s something they fixed for this iteration. That's good to know, thanks for the info! Appreciate it.
Guess I'll keep the Mous for special occasions (returning it would probably be pricey anyway). I have a Phone Rebel Air coming in tomorrow that I was able to order via Amazon that's also made from TPU, so should be good there, too. Never tried one of these before. And also ordered a Ryan London (leather) case that should arrive sometime in December probably... 😬 Maybe one of these cases will stick for more than a week 😂
And shame about Caudabe... Paragon uses a PC shell, like you said.
lol 😂 I hear ya. Idk I’ve never had that lint/dust problem with ASC. I also don’t understand how people wear them down. I’ve never had a chip or any of the silicone wear off.How do you not get lint? And every cat hair known to man gets stuck to my silicone cases even if I don’t see any cat hair, lol . It makes me really sad because I absolutely love them.
Saw one here.Do any of their cases have a CC button? I may be missing something, but I couldn’t find one.
I have two cats and a dog here and not a single hair stuck to my AS caseHow do you not get lint? And every cat hair known to man gets stuck to my silicone cases even if I don’t see any cat hair, lol . It makes me really sad because I absolutely love them.
Interesting! The Monarch on the UAG site still shows a cutout? Thanks…
Truer words were never spoken… 😂So no case is perfect, so far.
So, even the fake UAG cases have a CC button
Oh... I'll keep an eye out for bumps then! I'll report back tomorrow.Let us know how you like the PR Air. I had one for my 16PM which had a bad MagSafe bump straight out of the box. I haven’t heard that mentioned this year, so I’m hoping it’s something they fixed for this iteration.
Good luck in your hunt for the perfect case!
Sal, any worries of the Paragon scratching the sides of your phone? Those inside display edges are mighty sharp.New Sheath buttons are perfect. The whole case is perfect now.View attachment 2576360
These images are probably just early CG renders that were from UAG, but the eventual products dropped the button with cutouts in place. You can see them clearly in the hands-on videos with the actual retail cases.Interesting! The Monarch on the UAG site still shows a cutout? Thanks…
Speaking of sharp display edges ... the Mous case also has them. And the case itself is rigid AF. I'm scared to put my phone into that case tbh 😅Sal, any worries of the Paragon scratching the sides of your phone? Those inside display edges are mighty sharp.
Oh this is good to hear. I just got the AS case but haven't opened it because of the concern with pet hair. Does the material feel the same as previous years? I always feel like there's a honeymoon period with that case that ends when it starts wearing through that soft layer.I have two cats and a dog here and not a single hair stuck to my AS caseNo problems at all with lint. BUT I already have a small chip at the top despite handling phone and case like a raw egg. So no case is perfect, so far.
