For those that have the Pitaka cases, how is the back texture? Is it smooth or is there some texture/grip to it? I've generally purchased Caudabe Sheath as I like the texture - anything similar?

No I don't think they can display them until launch day. I'm sure there's some reason for this but I would think they'd want people to handle them and place impulse pre-orders. Many people will not order something they have not seen face to face and been able to lay hands on.

Got a cheap silicone Elago case in case there is some issue with the metal plateau ring on my ArmorPro (99.9% sure it's a non issue) and while I stay tuned for my Sheath and Tank.
Chose this as my wife got one for her Air and it felt and looks lovely and at £14.99 didn't really need to think about it.

LOTS of colours to choose from but went with a medium grey as I think it'll look good with the Orgasmic Orange. The cc button works perfectly.

I believe I got the same one for my Air as your wife, and while it seemed very nice overall for how inexpensive it is, I found the little strip of silicone over the usb-c area had no underlying support and was super floppy. I could see that becoming saggy fairly quickly or even tearing eventually and it just bugs me. I like how the Apple silicone cases are much sturdier in that area (although, they are way more expensive), but of course Apple didn't make a silicone case for the Air. I don't buy a ton of cases, so I would gladly pay the $50 for the official silicone case.

I've got the blue Beats case on order (it was $36.xx from Amazon vs $45 from Apple) and thinking about the Benks Montage or the Pitaka Moonrise ($50 from Amazon) but might wait for the Pitatap version.

Thanks for pointing that out, just looked at them and they both have spaghetti strength support above the USB port.

Returning, probs just get the Terra Cotta Apple silicone.

I think we will get a phonerebel announcement this week. They only have one more case to update pictures for on their hidden page. Interesting to see that the pro max frosty is rendered different than the regular pro. And it’s nice you can replace that ugly kickstand lol give me some white MagSafe rings.

I was going to wait for the Pitatap version, but then saw a few people were having issues with it on the 16PM. It also seems a little strange to have one button covered with all the others open (just my OCD tendencies kicking in). My non-Pitatap version arrives next week.

Thanks, that gives me some pause on waiting for that. The non-tap version seems like a decent deal for $50, so I might just go with that for something ultra-light. Wish they had more new designs this year. I saw there was at least one, but it wasn't something I was overly impressed with.

I'm actually pretty intrigued by the Dbrand Tank for some reason, especially with those Plasma buttons (mostly the teal). If they can keep it close to 40g I might give that a try as well.

I feel so seen in this thread with everyone hoarding cases like Smaug. 😂 🐉
The Tank and Pitaka cases are also on my shortlist. Have a Pitaka for my 15PM and it's just so so pretty. Will wait for RL videos of the Tank. And currently cradling my 15PM (currently) in its Mous Limitless case and just loving the texture and the clicky buttons. Might add that to the list as well. And I will probably also add another Nomad Modern Leather case, because these are so amazing to hold and patina so nicely...

Yea, I hate those big metal pop out rings on the back of cases. The Torras Air would be fantastic, if it weren't for that huge, nasty pop out ring on the back.
