Anyone got the official apple clear case? Is it slippery? Last time i tried it was like for the 13 pro
I got it and returned it.

It’s just not my cup of tea but the buttons were improved for sure and the white backplate isn’t bad I know a lot of people don’t like it but Apple wasn’t going to roll with the low Apple logo on the MagSafe circle like every 3rd party clear case.

In my opinion though this Apple clear case only looks good with the silver phone. To me it didn’t feel too slippery but it’s a clear case you can’t expect too much grip from it.

People who've used or are using the Apple clear cases, don't the buttons feel very stiff and the case can crack easily? I've tried the clear case from Apple when I had my 15 PM and on my 16 PM, the buttons were always annoying to press since it required more force, and the bottom corners of the case where they meet the back of the iPhone always started to crack

Buttons are not an issue this year. They have been improved and more tactile than the silicone case. Does not creak or anything. Solid case especially if you went silver.

The silver is so fresh! Glad I got one of those coming in. Between Silver and Deep Blue those are my favorites for sure, I’ll make that final decision when they both come in Friday but I’m really thinking Silver is going to be it. I had the Blue Ti iPhone 15 PM and I got bored of the blue so quick.

Silver PM and Space Black Air. Banger combo incoming for me on Friday. 💥

Thoughts on the D Brand Ghost? I was near a Best Buy so I decided to pick one up. If I don’t like it, returns are easy. Didn’t visit the site enough last year to know how people felt about it.

i loved the buttons, especially the cc button. very clicky. what i didn’t like was that it provided no screen protection and i like to place my phone face down on my desk and kitchen table. back scratches kinda easily.

Thanks for the quick reply. I always use a screen protector.

The back scratching easily is not good though. That will bother me! I wasn’t crazy about the mag safe lines like on most cases anyways. I’ll likely just return it.

Thanks

I have no idea what to get.

This will be my first iPhone upgrade since Apple stopped selling leather cases. I used to get the Apple leather case almost every year for a decade.

What's my best option for a Mist Blue base iPhone 17? People seem to like the Nomad Horween leather, but it seems that's only offered on the Pro, not the regular 17.

How's the Nomad (non-Horween) Modern Leather case?

I just got the Andar Aspen for my air, and I actually got it in the blue color. It’s a dark blue, but I think it would look fantastic against a mist blue.

It’s pretty thin and I think it would work well on a 17, I’m not entirely sure that I’m going to keep it because the air is all about being thin and while it is still a pretty thin case it’s not “air thin”

andar leather cases are really nice. good leather, slim and great buttons. almost exactly like the apple leather ones. idk if they make it for the 17.

Saw a video on YT and that single speaker was not bad at all.
I always thought “stereo” speakers on phones were a gimmick—there’s not enough physical separation between left and right to create a meaningful stereo effect. It’s like listening to surround sound on a standard stereo system—it’s not physically possible. The only real advantage is that the maximum volume might be louder with two speakers, but who cranks their phone to max volume anyway? That’s why we have AirPods.

Interesting semi-related trivia tidbit: Did you know that AirPod revenue on its own is larger than the entire rest of the audio industry combined? Mind boggling…

That’s the issue - it’s louder with 2 speakers. I actually use my speakers a lot even though I have AirPods and Bluetooth speakers. I grill out and sit out in my yard almost everyday and sometimes when I’m outside it’s pretty loud from the surroundings. I’ve also been in situations in a pinch where I’m working on something and need to boot up YouTube real quick to find a fix or suggestion. I also use speakers when I’m in the back of my work van and have to make a call while working on things. The only time I use headphones is when I’m mowing my properties, cutting down trees or using tractors etc.

I know most of the people here don’t see a need for it being loud, but I 100% do.
