Actually IMO, it's a fantastic case. The fit is tight, buttons are perfect and the grip is pretty much on point.
You do see a little color of the phone along the front screen edge, but I can live with that. It looks like there is a metal frame around the inside buttons and that worries me. Hopefully these frames won't scratch the sides of the phone.

I'll see if the fabric gets any discoloration along the edges after a few days of use and report back.
i noticed the color of the phone coming through on the front from the photos you posted. i think that looks great. i bet that was intended. i like it! btw holding out on me with that cool wallpaper. 🤷‍♂️

That’s pretty in line with the way OEM silicone and previous leather cases were .. and I think fine woven as well

Yea, I believe all of the TechWoven cases have the phones color peeking through along the front edges.

Let me look for that wallpaper.

Sweet! Haven’t broken mine out yet, have the black for the silver phone. Loving the black silicone case but I’ll cave shortly and give the tech a go!

Yeah, like the phones, they won’t change out any accessories or wall signs / decor until Thursday after store closing.
I’ve also been to an Apple Store the weekend prior to the release day last year too, and they still have the existing iPhones like 15 pros and not the 16s yet. So you’re right they don’t revamp the iPhone tables, the signage and update everything until the night before the release day

I could not disagree more. This case feels terrible in hand and the inside is rough as well. The fit and finish is subpar too. I think I prefer the Finewoven to the Techwoven and that is saying something lol. This case feels like a $10 dupe from Alibaba, but it sells for $60 plus tax. I’d stay away!
The best case Apple has released. To me the texture feels like the sheath and doesn’t add much bulk. This one will save me from buying 50 cases this year.
Ok, after seeing such critical posts of the tech woven being rough, and it will scratch the iPhone, I took mine back off of my 17 Pro to see what all the fuss was about. It is not rough, there is no metal, and it will not scratch your phone! If anything, the inside texture will keep grit and grime from sticking, and having that scratch your phone.

pitaka here.. not sure I will keep it - seeing all the scratched out phones and being on apple upgrade program, last thing I want is paying for phone replacement next year if they refuse taking it back, due to scratches. I may get the pitaka aramid ultra guard (just hate the idea of the much bigger feel)

i remembered i use to keep my phones caseless and i had some old wallets and sleeves made for naked pro max phones. i had them boxed in my garage.

here’s an approximately four year old hardgraft sleeve made for a pro max. it holds perfectly my air in the shadow case. and a hardgraft wallet at least 10 years old.

Nice! How much extra thickness does it add to the iPhone? Looks like it add minimal on the front, but not sure about the edge around the camera plateau?

I’m looking for a case that adds just the minimum extra thickness. As an example, the Apple clear case on my current iPhone 14 Pro adds what looks like almost 2 mm which is just not going to happen if I upgrade to the 17 Pro.

Surprisingly difficult to find the perfect case this year. 😅 I don’t worry much about protection of the front screen, this year it is all about protection of the edges of the phone while not adding excessive thickness to an already thicker phone.

That exact shade of blue with the orange (assuming the photo is colour-accurate) looks really good though.

isit normal for cases to have a slight bowing near the camera control button? both my pitaka ultraguard and mous limitless show abit of the frame around the camera control area

24 hours later and I still don’t know which device I like more 😂 both have its charm. The Air of course is a design masterpiece and is the perfect screen size IMO for a smartphone. Battery hasn’t been bad at all either. Mono speaker is just fine for doom scrolling. However I also love the industrial design of the PM. Especially this clean silver/white variant. Camera on the PM is next level. I can probably get 2 days battery out of this thing. Can’t kill it. Not too many cases as of yet for the PM have been a hit. The Terra Cotta sili and Ghost are the only two in rotation.

We will see which phone makes the cut

The Dbrand Ghost really looks fantastic on the Silver, top stuff!

Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the full cover over the camera plateau as I think that hampers heat dissipation too much. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but prefer that case that just have a rim around the plateau for a more basic protection?

IMO, the TechWoven is pretty much the perfect case for these new phones. The camera ring adds just minimal protection and is perfection IMO. It is also made of plastic, nice and smooth on the inside, no worries about it scratching the finish of the phone.

I worry about the finish of the camera plateau being scratched from all these cases with big metal camera rings.

The only worry with the TW is that the back may get discolored after some use.

Pardon my ignorance here - back of TechWoven is a real tight “woven” material similar to that of a couple of the UAG cases in the past? Is this as slick as/slippery as I felt the UAGs were?

I don’t like the Tech Woven material, I’m after a more silicone type case or leather which sticks more to your hand when using the phone. The TW in my opinion (my case) slides more in my hand and I’d be worried if by accident it slipped out of my hand.

I’ve ordered a few Spigen and a Torro case to see how they compare

Returning the Apple silicone terra cotta.
Won’t use it over the great Enzo so pointless to keep.

Do Amazon stop orders if you keep returning? 🫣

Received my green techwoven case and it is very grippy but not tacky or lint catcher like the silicon case. The texture feels like Caudabe sheath but you can feel the woven texture like a pitaka case. Not sure if it make sense. 😂

The buttons are very good and feel better than the naked iPhone! Not sure why the buttons on 17PM doesn’t feel as good as my previous 16PM.

Only problem is the charging port cutout is smaller and my ugreen 100W usb c cable is not able to fit in. Change my case or my cable? 🤔

I’ve returned a bunch of cases and have not had a problem (yet), though some have reported having their accounts suspended because of too many returns. No one seems to know what triggers it, but logically you’d assume it’s a metric of purchases versus returns.
