Asked Suti why I have two tracking numbers and why shipping is taking so long and wheres it coming from

They ignored the part completely about where its coming from. Last week they said 4-6 days for delivery and now its 7-10 days. They also ignored the part of two tracking numbers and just copy pasted what is attached to the order from last week.
It’s probably coming from China like another person posted. I already ordered another MagSafe phone back that was posted further up. I’m still waiting to see what my status will update to by tomorrow.

Back in the Apple Clear Frost (for now). Beats case will likely be going back. Felt grippy at first, but with more use, I found it was slipping too much when trying to one-hand the Air (especially reaching to the left side --I'm right-handed, or swiping up to go home). Despite the fingerprints and general smudginess that can develop, the Apple clear overall has more grip and is lighter and slimmer on the back. I really just wish Apple had released the silicone cases for the Air. They are already pretty light and thin cases so I think those would've been a great fit for the Air. Other silcone cases just don't have the same feel as Apple's.

Even with the lower weight, the super thin sides make the Air harder to hold than I thought it would be. I'm a pretty light user, so I figured the Air would be right up my alley, but now I'm rethinking things a bit.

I don't have a need for the Pro cameras and would prefer to stay on the lighter side, so I ordered a 17 base model in Mist Blue that I'm pretty sure I'll be switching to. I'm conflicted because I like the idea of the Air so much. I think it's the best looking of all the models released this year. And while the compromises don't bother me all that much, combined with the base model being nearly $200 less, I think that makes more sense for me.

I hope the official silicone case doesn't disappoint. Haven't been able to find many reviews on YouTube (besides just showing the colors) that mention the weight or buttons (are they redesigned this year?) but if they are no worse than previous years, I think it'll be perfect for my needs.

The hard part is that the 17s are 2-3 weeks out for delivery times (I'm nowhere near an Apple Store) and I'll have to return the Air before then. Wish I could compare at the same time and visiting a Best Buy with the security/charging thing attached is never a good indicator for me.

TL;DR I'm likely returning the Air and getting a base 17 primarily because I miss the official Apple silicone case too much.

If the 17 is a better fit for you, especially at the cheaper price, that’s completely understandable, but I couldn’t imagine swapping phones for a case - especially Apple’s silicone case. I’ve tried to love it. I ordered it for both the 15 Pro Max and the 16 Pro Max and both times I sent it back. It picks up so much dust and lint, it’s difficult to put it in and out of your pocket, and it isn’t the best durability wise either - with it scuffing rather easily and particular the corners deteriorating quite quickly. Given the cost of them too, they should be a lot better and last a lot longer.

Definitely an interesting case and I can see how it’s not for everyone. Not sure it’ll make the cut, but thank you Amazon test run service.

Is there any space/gap by the charging port and the case frame around the lip?

I live in Maryland too and mine is in Pittsburgh, PA, before I got the dreaded held for payment message yesterday. 48 hours will up tomorrow so I’ll see what the tracking updates to. In the meantime, I have another MagSafe phone back that I ordered a little while ago, that someone posted further up.

So true!

To be worried about the phone scratching from touching the inside of a case or sliding it in and out of a case when in 11 months you’re getting the next one is hilarious to me too.

I’m not saying don’t take care of your device but the OCD for certain people can be a bit extreme.

But hey I guess everyone picks their battles lol
I’m usually fairly OCD about scratches on anything, but if I always have a case anyways, it’s easier for me to take in.

However, if my carrier / Apple lowers the value when I want to trade it in due to scratches, then it starts to concern me.

Süti’s shipping this year is horrible. I won’t be ordering from them again.
This will be my last case from them. If they had been up front with the tracking times when ordering I would’ve been more understanding, but this is ridiculous. Süti was going to be the only case I was going to use this year since I go caseless, and I really wanted the orange case. I’m now forced to use this cheap bumper, back glass protector and glass plateu protector until I find MagSafe phone back case.

I ordered one of these from Speck today without the click lock. Its what I used on the 15 PM exclusively and I loved it despite the case cracking on both sides of the charging port cutout and around part of the magsafe ring. Not sure if it I will like it since I'm returning one from Best Buy with the click lock feature due to some iffy QC around the lip of the screen.

I did not think it would be this hard to find a case worth keeping.
Not sure if they will adjust after purchase (but def worth a try) - DEMAND25 is a 25% code right now. Also 2% CB at Ra-uten + that code, if they want you to cancel/reorder. I think they are somewhat overpriced, but worth it at the $35-40 range due to the easy lifetime warranty.

I think they are identical (click lock and without?) - I had the burgundy/brownish one with cl on my 15P because I wanted the color but that little divot is so ugly. Suprised you had cracking - how old was it? I used to have many more issues years ago with the candyshell ones that had the rubber on the back as the grip, those would always fall off and get gunky. I actually like the smoother grip of the Presidio since its not messy, a little more sleek, but still gives enough grip in general and especially when it's one handed.

This new one has the speaker cut out, but no camera button cover - I think I'll be good with that though. I agree it's impossible to find an ideal case. I actually switched to another one about a year ago and a month in, dropped it and the entire back of the phone cracked. Never had one issue in nearly a decade of the Speck ones, so went right back to them.

I agree it's a bit extreme just for a case and one that I know people have very mixed feelings on. I never found it to be a huge lint magnet even with darker colors and never had a significant drop or anything that lead to peeling/chipping. Despite it being hard to get out of certain pockets at times, I think I actually prefer that to having a case that's too slippery and slides out of my pocket too easily when sitting down.

Maybe I need more time to adjust to the size increase of the Air (coming from a base 13). Finding the right case will also help but I always found myself back in the Apple silicone despite trying dozens of others over the years.

Apple doesn’t care about scratches or other minor cosmetic damage. The trade-in process asks if the screen is smashed or if the buttons don’t work.

I’m the same way. I take very good care of everything I own too. As long as my phone screen is perfect and whatever is exposed on the phone is good too I’m good.

Apple doesn’t lower the value of trade in from scratches. They lower it if you have a cracked or chipped screen or cracked back glass.

I traded in my 16PM at the Apple Store, the screen and back were perfect but it had light chips on the titanium. They didn’t even look at that they just looked at it front and back and gave full value for the trade in.

Thanks to google I did find a 25% off case. The one I used for the 15 PM was bought before launch so It had 2 full years of use on it. I don't think the back cracking happened until a few weeks ago when I took the case off to clean some dust out. Prying from the bottom is probably what did it.

I do really like the Tech Woven case even though I feel the corners will pop off from a drop. Thats my only gripe with it and is stopping me from using it exclusively. I probably should have held onto the Andar Aspen longer to have tried it on the phone. The Nomad Tradition Leather case didn't fit properly for me either. I wouldn't mind a case thats thinner but will hold up. Maybe I'll give Andar another shot now that I have the phone in hand.

Warmer, warmer, cooler, warmer… lol. If it wasn’t so ridiculous, this would be funny…
