The 15 was the lightest of the Pro Max models:

iPhone 14 Pro Max 240 grams
iPhone 15 Pro Max 221 grams
iPhone 16 Pro Max 227 grams
iPhone 17 Pro Max 233 grams
iPhone Air 165 grams

35 grams is not bad, roughly in line with the Apple Silicone and other minimal cases. For reference, the Caudabe Sheath and Paragon are up near 50 grams, Phone Rebel and other more protective cases are closer to 60. I think the difference you’re feeling is primarily the phone, not the case.
Well I went down to the 17 Pro and have been using it with a cheap-o silicone case from Best Buy and weight hasn’t been a factor. I guess a heavier case along with adding a screen protector was enough of a difference to make it noticeable.

Nice! Can you say anything about quality? Read some comment saying it was bad quality. I am looking into getting this case for my 17PM in blue.
To be honest, it’s the first time using one - I usually go caseless. But it seems okay to me. I saw one post saying that the sides a weak and the bottom, but I don’t think they are?
Yes, you can see the smallest sliver of orange around the edges, but I don’t find that too bad. And you can see more orange at the top, but that’s where they have recessed it for the speaker.
The rear frame around the plateau is a hard plastic.
The clear plastic does pick up some fingerprints but it’s not too bad. The sides don’t seem to be as textured as the ghost case, but they’re like a Matt bumpy material.
All the buttons work fine include in the camera button.
Inside there seems to be soft gel on the corners.
I don’t think it should be at the price point that it is, but then I don’t think most of them should be at the price point that they are

Agreed I’m locked in on the Moonstone, my personal favorite of the Pitaka designs.

I bought a few cases that piqued my interest as I always do in the very beginning of the cycle but this year it wasn’t hard to find the one. Returned everything else.

I was already converted to Ultra Slim cases from the Benks ArmorAir last year and this year the Pitaka Ultra Slim with the PitaTap is the easy choice for me.

It keeps the phone staying closest to its true form factor and keeps it as light as can be as well with enough protection and grip as opposed to the naked phone.

I personally can’t even do regular cases anymore. Everything feels bulky and heavy to me especially with the 17 Pro Max already being thick. For me personally Ultra Slim cases will continue to be my go to and this year’s Pitaka doesn’t disappoint.

Oh dear, we got a rebel amongst us.

I find it kind of funny how everyone is super worried about scratches, obviously we don’t want them but at the same time, all of us upgrade every year. It’s not like we are stuck with the device for 12 years, it’s twelve months lol.

On another note, I ordered the tech woven on Amazon to arrive the day before I got my new phone but went to Best Buy the day I got it and bought the Ghost, I don’t intend on taking the Ghost off anytime soon, looks so sleek with the silver and feels great in hand. Can’t really pick out anything I don’t like about it. Normally I have a darker phone so I don’t like all the smudges on a clear case, but with the light colored phone the smudges are barely noticeable

So true!

To be worried about the phone scratching from touching the inside of a case or sliding it in and out of a case when in 11 months you’re getting the next one is hilarious to me too.

I’m not saying don’t take care of your device but the OCD for certain people can be a bit extreme.

But hey I guess everyone picks their battles lol

Asked Suti why I have two tracking numbers and why shipping is taking so long and wheres it coming from

They ignored the part completely about where its coming from. Last week they said 4-6 days for delivery and now its 7-10 days. They also ignored the part of two tracking numbers and just copy pasted what is attached to the order from last week.

Speck Presidio 2 Grip Magsafe in Deep Sea/Silver Metallic (on a base 17 white)

Always keep coming back to these; nice combination of sturdy and very protective (tons of drops) but not massive or bulky. Not the best color options this year but this blue is really nice - almost a hint of teal, not as dark as navy (a bit lighter in person than the pics), and the fit is excellent. They hold up pretty well but do honor the lifetime warranty with no drama (usually replace them 1-2 times in 2-3 years) Not as much protection as a super heavy duty case for sure but much more than most of the thin one layer cases.

Can't believe Speck didn't add the camera control button to this years cases.

Caudabe new ship dates...............early to mid October :(
Where did you hear this? For which cases? I ordered the Synthesis Frost for 17 pro just over an hour ago. Per product page at the time of order and current:

Orders placed today are expected to ship by late September

Oh wow Mous has a red case called Chili, I wonder how it looks with the blue 17 Pro Max camera bump exposed? Been thinking of getting the Caudabe Sheath blue with precise cutouts but this could be a fun combo of colors

On their site, looking at the Sheath and that's the date showing now.

This has been the worst shipping with them this year. I’ve never had a problem before. Shipping and delivery was always prompt. Hopefully Süti can fix the issue and it doesn’t become widespread otherwise it will open up a can of worms for their business.

USPS says my Suti package will be delivered today (13 days after I placed the order). The only problem is that USPS shows it at the Post Office in Long Island City, NY. I live in Maryland.
