Shellrus, Hodas, and any other real sapphire protectors will always have less coverage since they cannot make curved edge sapphire screeen protectors.

Origarmor has excellent edge coverage considering it is a 3d curved edge like the flolab.
So I’m guessing cases that wrap onto the curved glass itself won’t work with the Origarmor?

I’m hoping the Caudabe Sheath is a bit forgiving as I’ve heard positive about that case.

It will likely depend on the case. I have it with an Apple silicon until my RL leather comes in. No issues

Never used an Apple case, does the lip of the case wrap onto the glass or does it stop between the intersection of the frame and glass?

So what I ordered was evidently similar? They have so many SKUs for everything lol

No you got a 2.5d version , the one I posted is actually curved 3d hot bend glass

The fit is excellent on the 3D version. I just wish Flolab had made theirs already. Wondering what their fit is actually like with what they released. The torras is good but not as good AR and polarized sunglasses

Returned the ESR Amorite 7x protectors. Black border of death was such a disappointment. Picked up some Dbrand Prism today at Best Buy and fits like a glove with no black borders. Definitely a keeper for the time being.

Is there anyway to see how much of the black edges block off the display? Like a website or jpeg file I can open and check the pixel width on the edges?

For the 3D edge Flolab? They wouldn’t tell
Me a date. But I’d wait until then if true
Correct, however they specified the clear version so not sure about the AR variant.

Hi there,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Please check the NanoArmour ONETIME PRO Privacy Anti Reflective PolarSpectra 3D Infinity Edge – iPhone 17 Series.

Regarding the 3D clear version, it will be available in late October.

Thank you for your patience, and please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,

Thanks mate. My ESR Armorite definitely cuts off one of the L on the right.
So it’s not centred (I used their installation kit) and the black edges are too thick

Now I can’t unsee it :S
ooooof, yeah I ruined 6 screen protectors trying to fix those crappy alignment trays across different brands with the 16 pro max including 3 of those fancy flolab one time pro 3d ones. it could be worse though, originally the iOS 26 keyboard used to have a gap between the black border and the keyboard area, it was super thin but with any screen protector misalignment you could tell badddd. they swapped over to no gap on beta 2 and on I think

I did the sinful thing and paid $25 for Zagg + $8 for install from Best Buy.

The dude seemed to really know what he was doing, the margin of the thin borders from that to possible curving of the front or where it meets the front edge of my case seems narrow.

Free replacement and install as needed too. I figured 'screw it' considering phone is the only thing I use with a screen protector of all my devices (notwithstanding like the Switch 2, but I did that myself with relative ease)

This year I did decide to try one on Amazon. But what you’re doing is 100% the best way to go. They are a good screen protector and to be able to walk into the store and walk out with a new one anytime something happens is more than worth any extra cost. I think I replaced mine five or six times last year. They seemed to crack fairly easily, but when it saves the screen and you can replace it for free, I would pay double what it cost at Best Buy if I had to. When the one I’m currently using from Amazon cracks or scratches too badly I will be going to Best Buy for the Zagg

So just wanted to give the heads up with the Air, Apple DOES NOT have screen protectors for the Air. I got the ESR ones and Elago ones. And it's funny because 2 Apple Store employees warned me they wouldn't stick. I went thru all 3 ESR & 2 Elagos and they all did the same thing. They stuck perfect and after about 5-10 minutes the bottom and top started peeling up. Apparently there is a slight curve. And my buddy who also got the Air, had another brand screen protector, same issue.
So I'm going screen protector-less for the first time in years with my Air, but not nervous anymore after watching certain YouTube videos. It seems the Air really is the most durable iPhone ever...

Torras protector stuck fine on my wife's Air. In fact, trying to get the tight fitting bumper caused it to lift a few times until we figured it out and the protector stuck down fine again after.

Think I’m going to try the Zagg too for replacement convenience. Is it worth it to get the more expensive Zagg ones (the XTR5) or just go cheapest?

Now, I’m an old guy that has literally installed 50 plus screen protectors in the past years. I just installed the new Torras on my new 17 PM and that thing went on like a dream. Perfect install, perfect alignment, no bubbles ETC.

The anti-reflective coating leaves hardly any fingerprints at all, and this is probably one of the best screen protectors I’ve ever used. My only worry is that some cases might peel the corners up as it’s full coverage.

Been using top of the line FloLab for the past couple of years and this new Torras blows them away.

Which Torras is this please?

Can't get that one from Amazon, can order direct though. Will have a think, not 100% happy with my Benks alignment.

Ironically installed my wife's Torras (not OrigArmor) on her Air perfectly. 🫤
