Think I’m going to try the Zagg too for replacement convenience. Is it worth it to get the more expensive Zagg ones (the XTR5) or just go cheapest?
I kind of wondered the same thing myself, I’m not sure. I do know that the last year or two they seem to crack very easy, but not necessarily scratch. I guess since the replacement is free, a cheap one might be the way to go

Can't get that one from Amazon, can order direct though. Will have a think, not 100% happy with my Benks alignment.

Ironically installed my wife's Torras (not OrigArmor) on her Air perfectly. 🫤
Yep, same with me not OrigArmor. Perfectly aligned install and no air bubbles or dust! The coating is fine. I don’t notice a difference either way. And it includes two screen protectors for less $ than the AR one.

Now, I’m an old guy that has literally installed 50 plus screen protectors in the past years. I just installed the new Torras on my new 17 PM and that thing went on like a dream. Perfect install, perfect alignment, no bubbles ETC.

The anti-reflective coating leaves hardly any fingerprints at all, and this is probably one of the best screen protectors I’ve ever used. My only worry is that some cases might peel the corners up as it’s full coverage.

Been using top of the line FloLab for the past couple of years and this new Torras blows them away.
Absolute best screen protector out there. It’s the one I had on my 16 Pro Max and I put it on my 17 Pro the moment I took it out of the box. Perfect fit, no screen intrusion at all, great AR, good fingerprint resistance.

BTW, I had the Peak Design Everyday case on, which does wrap into the screen considerably, and did not have any lifting of the OrigArmor. Went right up against it.

Fine. No. Ordered from Amazon US:

How are the edges? I know someone earlier mentioned they weren’t as rounded as their previous origarmor.

Can you show pics of it installed. I messed up on the install. I have one still coming from Torres directly and right now a esr on it.
Here are a couple pics, they are hard to take. There is a notch for the earpiece at the top.

The TechWoven case does show the orange broder of the phone along the edges, has nothing to do with the screen protector though.

When you guys peeled off the initial tab thats supposed to be “anti-dust” as Torras claim, did you press down on the protector ever so slightly, or only held down the tray?

Torras claim that initial plastic film is suppose to remove any dust before you roll it, but somehow I managed to get 2 dust in the bottom.

Maybe I took too long in securing the guide holes to the tray, since I had to remove the protector because the top left hole wasn’t secured down. I just ordered another one, and will try to be quicker in securing the protector down on the tray, then removing the tab quickly. Hopefully I get a dust-free install this time. 🤞

Ugh - bottom of my first ESR Armorite isn't sticking all the way around. I think maybe a teeny bit of the black border is covering on one side but it's minimal if anything so that would be ok, but first time I've had a problem with the actual adhesion. :(

Welcome to the club. Glad you finally joined!

i’ve been a fan of the 16 Pro Max ESR screen protectors i got last year. it was a 3 pack for like $6 or $7 dollars. used my last screen protector on my 17 Pro Max

probably going to go with Flolab once i need to replace this ESR one because i heard that flolab has the best anti reflective protectors.

However, my dad and sister need a screen protector for their iPhone 17. They have gotten those spigen ez fit ones last year and no complaints. However i’m debating between the ESR 3 Pack for $8 (https://a.co/d/8oGGGiu)

or i heard good things about WSKEN which is 2 pack for $16 (https://a.co/d/96RSwfV)

any recommendations? we never had a black border screen protectors so not sure.

I got the cheapest ESR one, and that one's borders cuts in, unevenly at that. I'm getting a refund and went with the Torras OrigArmor instead, that one looks to not have the border issue judging from their product photos and some photos here.

Trying to decide between:
TORRAS OrigArmor
Spigen AluminaCore
FloLab NanoArmour OneTime Pro

Does anyone have an opinion on which one is best? I don't usually use a screen protector so I'm hoping to find one that's pretty undetectable, won't gather smudges, etc.
This guy rates FloLab as undisputed overall.

I've used Torras before (15P) and they're decent

Currently using WSKEN which is a good all round budget option. But will probably opt for Torras or FloLab later on

Haven't used Spigen and ESR in a while as i found them overpriced for what they are

Is that OrigArmor Torras?

Ive got two sat in my drawer will apply it when i get device.

Any tips for perfect installation?
Yes, that's the one. Just get the tray set up with the protector hooked at the one end, peel the factory protector off the phone, put phone in, hook other end down, hold down lightly on the side edges of the install tray, pull out the dust remover film, roll the sliding wheel up and down a couple of times, peel the protective cover off and you should have a perfect install.

Make sure the you have the install tray on a grippy surface so it doesn't slide around during installation.

Had FloLab on my 16PM all of last year and it was a major fingerprint magnet.

If this Torras takes a dump, I'll try the FloLab again and hopefully it's improved over last years model.

Torras protector stuck fine on my wife's Air. In fact, trying to get the tight fitting bumper caused it to lift a few times until we figured it out and the protector stuck down fine again after.
Just watch the bottom and top edges over the next few hours or days for any peeling. My issue was with both ESR & Elago. My buddy had the same issue with RokForm & ESR. He ordered a Dbrand and I'm just going protector less this year after watching the videos on YouTube. The Air seems to be beating these phone destroyers this year....
