I got my Hoda Sapphire today and already installed it. The fit is perfect. The alignment tray also. But I did not remember that Sapphire is that shiny. It reflects like crazy compared to my regular Torras screen Protector.

I will leave it on for the next couple of days and switch to the OrigArmor as soon as it arrives.

They finally fixed the black bezel being criminally thick? My shellrus last year cut off so much screen that i ripped it off 10 minutes later. Waste of 70 bucks. But yeah sapphire is crazy reflective, but it does keep the screen colder than regualr glass

Totallee has a nice rounded edge and bezel. They are a little pricey but hold up well.

MagicJohn are pretty good, and seem to be really strong. Thats what I am using at the moment but they are pretty reflective.

Spigen are typically pretty good as well.

One thing to keep in mind, make sure the screen protector doesn't cover the ear speaker. The design of the 17 is even more streamlined than the 16 but easier to block. Also some cases, will block the speaker as well. I had to modify my spigen case with a blade so the raised edge didn't cover the speaker. It makes a much larger volume and clarity difference than I expected.

Yes, shellrus and Hoda had that last year and I was very disappointed. It is fixed now and does not cut off the screen. I compared it also to my Torras and it is the exact same size.

I really like it because of the cool Touch an the smoothness. Let`s see how long I can handle the reflectiveness.

My shellrus is out for delivery today, i have the origarmor installed though, kinda want to slap the shellrus on now that the problems are fixed. But i may hold out till this one gets some scratches. Im suprised they haven’t slapped a AR coating on the sapphire protectors yet

OrigArmor on its way, will first try to realign the Benks WarriorGlass sapphire.
If I mess it up, the OrigArmor will go on. If I get it perfect, the OrigArmor will become a backup.

Maybe it's just my OCD and using a flashlight when installing protectors to ensure no streaks or dust before applying, but 2 Torras OrigArmors have had some small scratches right out of the box. I'm sure not everyone is as OCD when installing so it might not bother anyone else.

I have the Torras OrigArmor installed perfectly on my 17 pro but wanted to have some back-ups so I ordered this 2 pack from SmartDevil last night SmartDevil 2 pack screen protectors. Looks like the same packaging as the 2 pack I ordered from AliExpress a couple months back for my 15 pro that had smooth 3d edges and did not cover any pixels on the screen. This 2 pack for SmartDevil also has a 40% off coupon on amazon currently making it only $10.83 so I couldn't pass it up with the price being so low. I will not be removing the OrigArmor to test these but whenever the time comes to replace it, I will use/try these out and post my feedback here. If anyone else wants to try them as well, I would recommend buying them now before the 40% off coupon goes away.

Has there been any photos of AR screen protectors with demonstrably better anti-reflectivity than a bare 17 series screen? Or can anyone here with first hand experience comment on it?
Pretty sure any AR screen protectors will. The iPhone 17 series AR is on the weak side tbh. My 16PM with either flolab or origarmor had better AR than my naked 17pm.

I just swapped from the ESR Corning to Torras OrigArmor and was actually coming on here to comment on the improvement in AR.

In comparison with a bare Air, the ESR Corning was worse and the Torras is better than the Air’s AR. Here’s a comparison with the Air on the left and 17 Pro with Torras on the right reflecting the exact same ceiling light. This pic was taken with an iPad so not very clear but with my own eyes, I can easily see the ceiling texture with the Air but can barely see the texture with the Torras.

And for those curious, the Torras edge-to-edge glass seems to be working well with a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case. I was worried the Torras wasn’t case friendly but working ok for at least the past hour, but I’ll keep an eye on if it lifts the glass.

It has black borders?

I have returned the ESR Armorite because of this. The black borders cover some usable screen space.

Yes, the Torras does have black borders but since it’s more edge-to-edge than the ESR, the borders are pretty exact to the screen so needs pretty much be installed perfectly to show 100% of the screen.

I personally wouldn’t consider the ESR black borders as the sole reason not to go with it, though. If you use the image with the camera “L” lines shared earlier in this thread, the very edge of the L isn’t visible straight on, but can be seen if you tilt the phone to see under the black border. This means the ESR border is hiding maybe a couple pixels on the edges. I wouldn’t consider that to be anything you’d notice in day to day use.

The SmartDevil for the 16PM from Amazon created rainbow effect for me at the time.

i use privacy protectors. i went with the zagg xtr as it has 4 way privacy (landscape/horizontal). i saw the wsken on amazon for half the price but im not sure about them because ive tried zagg lifetime replacement 3-4 times and they came through. also the wsken has lots of fake reviews for the iphone 17 before the product was announced or released.

if anyone else knows of a reputable company with a better 4 way privacy please let me know

Anyone tried these camera lens protectors?
Any feedback?
Will it affect image quality at all due to the extra layer of glass?
Typically not needed and can affect image quality

Apple's sapphire lens covers are the real deal and highly durable...even more so than Ceramic Shield.

Why doesn't torras offer the origarmor for the base 17? The regular version doesn't have anti reflective coating so kinda defeats the purpose.

Are there any edge to edge cases with AR for the base 17 that doesn't cut into screen?
