Is anyone considering not going screen protector being Ceramic Shield 2 and touted what is it 4x improved scratch resistance?

I stopped using screen protectors years ago. I felt it was all a gimmick. They crack easily so that you think your phone screen was saved and buy another.
I always get Applecare+ anyways just in case I do ever crack the screen (which I never have), and no longer even consider screen protection.
Looking at my current 15pm, I can't even see any surface scratches etc - completely mint.

Not after the 15 and 16 series. I sell mine every year, so scratches are a problem for me. I have never cracked a screen protector so far🤞

So is the little speaker cutout different on the 17 pro’s? I was going to transplant my flolab 3d from my 16 pro max and wait for some reviews to come out. The updated 3d flolab fits my 16 pro max perfectly around the edges and doesn’t cover my screen.

I am particularly curious how good the anti reflection is on the new ESR protectors. And obviously if the black border covers any content. They seem like a good deal. If they aren’t that good then I might go with the torras since that seems to be the new standard.

I added a test photo from iOS 17 to test if content on the edges is blocked by the protector. Please save the photo first and view it in the photos app. This way we can all share our results when we each try different protectors.

I like the way the ESR covers the speaker without a bump but you can see the opening at the top so sound can pass

never used a screen protector on any iPhone (started with 3GS), never had any issues, and no plans to ever get one

Ones made for the 17 PM will be, 16PM? Will fit screen but any of their protectors with dip or speaker protection will be a mismatch in that area.

All I want is a screen protector with antiglare, polarized glasses friendly, true 3D rounded edge, no pixel cropping, and no weird speaker covering bump.

Is that too much to ask? Come on flolabs....you have the 16PM model and all you would need to is to make a tray that fits the 17PM!

Is there that brand that begins with a B? Baleus or something, from AliExpress.

Honestly I think I might just get the Belkin.

You mean this one? https://www.amazon.com/TORRAS-Reflection-Military-Grade-Shatterproof-Anti-Scratch/dp/B0FF4Q8M29/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3G89M3LTKRNIZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.DhmMZYev0BFmzpDpsQd6gblqSOmj_BEbkKhNWhcCoVYzUPwwYTdO6voDTUW8KezVU3mIMFuLqN6DCLG6WtBVRDAkBUvy4Cn-iO4Ryj-oA_X1QMxvgpWBiG63CakyYaZSgkouWpZDBLrEp6KV08Bl7Wyecw_bwVK5nOeeiIOuhjg_Wdze9ChiO1H6N3ibcsblI6NNL3_lligfxzozqB-HF5_17tafmLcZsHPkt0PIhbY.SiqJ-hjtzfoVdQHfEevvM4AmxCebcVeFNbSf8lY_51I&dib_tag=se&keywords=torras+17+pro+screen+protector&qid=1757685265&sprefix=torras+17,aps,117&sr=8-4

I have it waiting at home. How is its better than the flolab 3D edge version? I have that on my 16 PM and the fit is perfect. The antiglare and polarization features are perfect. The oleophobic coating is not a as good but is less thick than the Torras I had originally.

I have not tried these new origarmor versions from Torras that have a bump that covers the speaker and claim to have some AR abilities. The video reviews are good, especially the new application tray.
Yep! Thanks ordered it. The olephobic coating and install is way better than the flolab 3d version. I went through 3 flolab 3d protectors and always had an issue with at least one spot along the edge not sticking. And even when I decided to live with it, the oleophobic coating was trash after a week. Now with the torras it’s been almost a month it seems and olephobic coating is still perfect as well as install had no bubbles and never lifted

Yeah have ordered these, may end up with Torras. They look pretty clean on the few videos they’re plugged on.

I want to benefit from the anti reflective display though so if screen protectors affect it, I may not bother

Those are the ones I was looking at, only thing they are 30€ in the EU (although it's a 3 pack). I'm currently rocking an ESR Armorite on my 16 Pro.

I wanted to try the Flolab ones but I can't find them over here in Europe, or at least for a reasonable price.

I am considering that. Already go case-less. Although, I think a screen protectors does cut down on finger print marks on the screen, but I could be wrong, so that is an unintended benefit. 🙂

Every year I go with the Spigen EZ-Fit. I can't fault it. Easy to fit (as it says), durable, and it never loses its stickyness. Had the same one on my 15 Pro since launch and it doesn't have a single mark on it, never had to replace it etc.

FLOLAB

NanoArmour ONETIME MAX Matte Anti-Glare 17 Pro Max

Have the same one on my 16 PM currently. It’s so good, going with the same thing AGAIN!
That isn't the version they released laster on with the full 3D edge to edge fit. It's the older design which I had and it was not good. I have the 3D version on my 16PM now so I emailed them to ask and they verified it's not the same.

I didn't have issues with the Flolabs lifting up, but I know others did. You are right about their oleophobic coating though. Torras has always been solid but the glare sucks compared to the flolab. Now, this version of TORRAS says it does have AR...I'm guessing many will since Apple made it a feature. We'll see if it's any good.

Gone for this one for my Air 🙌
Ordered the exact same model but for my 17 Pro. Hope it's edge to edge with 3d(rounded)corners. If i remember they were quite recommended in the iPhone 16's thread.
