Can you flip a skin upside down and stick it to the back of the plate?
I thought about that, maybe I'll try it later today. Can you flip a skin upside down and stick it to the back of the plate?
Everythingapplepro usually makes a video dropping the iPhone in a bunch of cases from 50ft to concrete so hopefully then we will see how it performsI wish I knew. I have not seen any drop tests of the Gen 7 yet.
Don’t worry about it I’ve been using that plate and it’s been fine I have no plateau protection either.
Yeah we‘ll see if he returns for his annual throwing phones off a tower video. Not too hopeful, but you’ll never know.Everythingapplepro usually makes a video dropping the iPhone in a bunch of cases from 50ft to concrete so hopefully then we will see how it performs
I’m always entertained by his drop tests, but I don’t know how useful they actually are. At that height, the luck of how each case lands appears to play a major role in the outcome.Everythingapplepro usually makes a video dropping the iPhone in a bunch of cases from 50ft to concrete so hopefully then we will see how it performs
but still 50ft is no joke and his rebel cases tend to do very wellI’m always entertained by his drop tests, but I don’t know how useful they actually are. At that height, the luck of how each case lands appears to play a major role in the outcomes.
Sure. It’s been a while since I dropped a phone 50’ though. A more meaningful test would be to drop at realistic heights, say 3,6, and 9 feet, in a controlled rig of some sort so that random chance is taken out of the equation. That said, it is fun watching all of those cases and phones being destroyed.but still 50ft is no joke and his rebel cases tend to do very well
Yea but if it can survive a 50’ drop wouldn’t it survive a 3,6 and 9’ drop?Sure. It’s been a while since I dropped a phone 50’ though. Regardless of drop height, comparing one case to another requires eliminating the random variables, which is not possible in the scenario we’re discussing (50’ drop from a tower).Yea but if it can survive a 50’ drop wouldn’t it survive a 3,6 and 9’ drop?
Get a Caudabe Frosty this way you don’t have to worry about fingerprints.Do I want another fiber case? Pitaka? Phone Rebel? Phone Rebel Flex? A Caudabe Frosty?
It was made for the Silvers IMO...Got one on the way 👍🏻
The Gen 7 with its floppy top might be a complete fail on the 50' drop test 😵Sure. It’s been a while since I dropped a phone 50’ though. I’m wondering if we won’t see a 50ft drop test video this year because the PR cases didn’t survive the test 😅The Gen 7 with its floppy top might be a complete fail on the 50' drop test 😵
Exactly, the best colour too imo.It was made for the Silvers IMO...View attachment 2587909
I hope the iPhone 18 series makes that little square panel the same color as the rest of the phone. I’m put off by that two-tone look.Exactly, the best colour too imo.
If it lands top down that seems pretty likely. The Gen 7 with its floppy top might be a complete fail on the 50' drop test 😵
Surprised the Sheath did as well as it did considering it’s a hard’ish case.If it lands top down that seems pretty likely.
Both the Gen 6 and Mous passed last year, but there was some damage to the phone in the Flex. He sort of glosses over it, but you can see some dead pixels:
Not that any of this is meaningful in real life since we’re not dropping our phones from anywhere near 50’… lol. Makes for great phone case theater though! 😎
Yeah, you never know. The way the case lands obviously makes a huge difference. Some cases even hit the structural beams of the tower on the way down… lol. Again, fun to watch but not really that meaningful.Surprised the Sheath did as well as it did considering it’s a hard’ish case.
