I understand it with classic iPhone or PRO for people working outside, or people who often gives it's phones to kids 😄.
But this is not point of iPhone Air IMHO. Who will buy ultraslim and lightweight phone and then put on it 48g case? This just not giving sense to me.
I'm working in office, but my phone not sitting on desk all day. I'm runner, often going for hikes, but still I don't need "tank" case.
Thats my opinion on this.
Wonder how many iPhone Pro users are recording in LOG format and take advantage of the triple camera system every day? After all, that would be the "point" of the phone.

I think there is a fair amount of people who enjoy a case to balance the lightness of the phone. It'll still average out to be less than most other devices. At the end of the day, users have choice, and that's a great thing.

He claims the plastic at the bottom of the case left marks on his orange phone, and I totally believe it.
Maybe he should try cleaning his case more often from the inside and outside going forward.

Them corners are full of dirt and that is what probably caused them marks.

No issues here with both silcone and techwoven cases.

I respect your opinion. Calling someone else’s experience “ridiculous” is not called for though.

I too enjoy ultra thin cases, and use them all the time around the home and office. When I’m using my phone primarily as a camera when hiking along a river, or biking while shooting video with one hand (for example), a more substantial, protective case is warranted. In those circumstances, function trumps form for me.

In any case (no pun intended), a beefy case on an Air is still significantly thinner and lighter than the same on a Pro.

Exactly!

Paragon is so good that I might sell Sheath. Tempted to try Synthesis though.
I am currently still using the Paragon and have been since I received it back in November. Still love it but I too am wanting to try the Synthesis. Am I correct in thinking the buttons are interchangeable between the two?

The Synthesis is not a fingerprint magnet, it has a frosted back.

The frosting on the inside wears off pretty quick after installing and removing the phone a couple of times, dark spots will appear along the inside bottom.

Can’t see those spots on your photo. Where are they located exactly? By the way, looks like that new Abyss Synthesis has clear back, not a frosted one.

That pic is a brand new out of the box case. If the new one has a clear back, that's a hard pass.

Here is what the inside of the Synthesis looks like after installing and removing the phone a couple of times:
