How’s Midnight Paragon when it comes to smudges and fingerprints? MagSafe ring? Are they easy to wipe off?
It gets smudgy but not terrible like aramid fiber in comparison.

It’s also very easy to wipe off since it’s a really smooth surface but your Moonstone is definitely better at not showing smudges. Definitely not a deal breaker in my opinion.

Midnight Paragon is my personal favorite color for the Paragon, imo it looks its most premium in Midnight (Black).

So since I dropped my pro max in a silicon case and dented, I’ve gone caseless (always my preference). Since then I’ve had two small drops, one fall out of pocket onto tiles (slipped out) and it just made a scuff or two. Today my dog knocked the phone out of my hand from table height onto tiles and the dented corner has now peeled back and begun to separate at the antenna band. Time to AppleCare and go back to a case. Worth saying I’ve not babies the phone since the first dent and the screen, without a screen protector throughout, is flawless. I think il go back to techwoven to try and protect the new phone, but to be honest the price of express replacement vs techwoven case if we were still in titanium era I wouldn’t bother, but I feel like one normal drop with the aluminium really is a problem.

This is exactly why when my wife asked if she should upgrade from her 15 Pro to the 17 Pro, I told her no. I'm not kidding when I say she should be a case tester, because she fumbles and drops her phone at least twice a day. On tile, on hardwood floors, and on concrete. Her 15 Pro still looks like day one with no scratches or blemishes anywhere. If she did the same with the 17 Pro, I can't imagine what it would look like.

She also always uses a case and glass screen protector, but she only uses cases that are biodegradable. So it's not like she's using an Otterbox or other tank-like case. But that titanium stands up to abuse so well.

Not sure what she's going to do if they never bring back titanium.

I’ve dropped my phone caseless and in my TW and no damage whatsoever. Know plenty of others with similar experiences. I’m sure these phones are more fragile compared to previous, but I think some of these comments are a bit dramatic. They’ve even held up decently well in a lot of the drop tests as well. Drops really come down to luck sometimes. Sorry to anyone who’s unfortunately got the short end of the stick with the luck.

The Phone Rebel sure looks good on the Air. Have you given up on it all together?
Yeah, I agree. The problem is, I’ve had three and they all had one defect or another. Also, the top area that surrounds the plateau is surprisingly soft and flexible and I’ve seen two reports of shattered plateaus from drops on the back, so I’m not confident it protects as well as expected. At 50 grams it should be super protective. I do prefer the Phone Rebel’s form factor, but with its PC frame surrounding the plateau and TPE inserts in the corners, the Mous is clearly more protective while weighing less.

Ha! My wife is the same. We have hardwood floors, and I hear a loud “THUNK!” at least once or twice a day. At this point I don’t even look…lol. She’s been using the same type of silver sparkle CaseMate case through multiple phones (the silver sparkle is the important detail) and has never damaged a phone. And I’m over here carrying around an Air in a Pitaka Edge like it’s a piece of Waterford crystal or something. Pretty silly… lol.

I thought the same when I first saw posts coming through but can only speak from genuine experience, I’ve had every iPhone since the X upgrading yearly, sometimes with cases sometimes without, and I haven’t damaged to the point of needing a repair on any of those. It’s certainly the first time I’ve had a phone get any damage after a waist height drop in a silicone case. Here’s hoping either an updated air or the fold is appealing and back to titanium next year.

I fully accept it’s the chance you take with caseless, the bit that disappoints me is the damage with a case on.

That’s fair! My mom’s 13 got damaged in the silicone case back in the day from a similar height drop. I’ve seen reports with older phones as well. Guess it just comes down to luck in a lot of these drops. This phone is likely more susceptible to damage than previous ones but, thankfully, hasn’t been the case for me.

Is the GripMonk with CC button worth $15.00 ?
I liked it when I had it for the 15 Pro.

Got a teal Owl in the other day, I'm a fan of the case but I'm not a fan of the teal color, really wish they had done the sage green color as well for the Pros instead of making it a Base 17/Pro Max exclusive color. I got a black one in the mail today and the teal is being returned tomorrow.

The new dbrand Ghost camera control button is so much better than the old one. My blue ghost came today.. it’s not loose, doesn’t rattle at all. My old one would buzz whenever my phone vibrated and I hated it. The new one doesn’t wiggle when touching it or have any issues with accidental presses. Click is still nice and satisfying but takes an appropriate amount of pressure to actually activate. Swiping is also a much better experience since the button is more firm and doesn’t move with your finger. Everything else is exactly the same.. just blue.

Didn’t come with the anti-rainbow stickers though, so we’ll see if I need those at some point.
I’m sad my orange ghost is now blue because of my jeans.
