It's all good until you drop it. I wasn't so concerned about this with the titanium phones, but with the new Butter-Soft™️ Pro Max, I personally want some extra drop protection.

Have dropped it a couple of times and both the case and phone are in perfect condition. Plenty of us out there that have not had this unlucky experience so no need to post.

But nothing wrong with wanting a case with more protection!

One of my most used cases for the 17PM is the black Synthesis 😉 The back is mighty slippery, and I don't like the spray paint overspray along the back edges, everything else I do like. Great grip on the sides, fantastic buttons, strong MagSafe and no fingerprints or marks on the back. The case just feels good in the hand, and I find myself going back to it time after time.

I’ve been gone lately, any new thin protective cases I’ve missed out on?

Well waited long enough. Stripped the black anodization off courtesy of easy off. Never liked how easy the black chips and prefer silver accents.

Merely letting people know that if they run a TW case and drop it, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re gonna end ip with a smashed phone.
It’s more possible in the TW which isn’t known for being drop protective. Most who run the TW know this and aren’t concerned about drop protection.

Open Paragon, orange or black?

I'm getting bored over here 🤪

Anyone have a discount code for me? I'm all out of reward points ☹️

I tried the open paragon in black. It’s a good, low key type of case but just something about the back material didn’t feel right. It’s too slick I think, and confirmed with the second paragon in azurite. Otherwise it’s a great case with fit and finish.

Side note, Do you think the updated tank is worth trying?

Yea it’s a shame they don’t use the same all around texture for the Paragon like the Sheath.

If you already have the first Tank, I would say no. Dbrand will send you updated buttons for the first tank for free. Not the CC button though. IMO, the flat finish of the original Tank CC button looked so much nicer than the new shiny finish.

I never really had any problems with the Tank 1 CC button. If you don’t have the original Tank than it’s worth picking up.
