My Pitaka for my 15PM was also so tight I only used it once and never again. Despite being slightly loose on the top right corner you had to pry it off with a crowbar, basically. I’ve sworn off all thinny thins since then 😂

Yeah, the 18 camera plateau is way thicker than the 17, so even if cases fit, the 18 cameras will be sticking up with no protection at all.

Not sure how the rumors could be correct. The plateau and camera lenses are clearly thicker from front to back.

Doubt it, the 18 is going to be thicker. I’m sure you’ll probably be able to slap it on but it just won’t be an accurate proper fit.

Right. All it takes is half a millimeter to ruin the fit. In all the years, there have only been a couple of times cases were usable from one model to the next.

I believe it’s thicker because of the variable aperture lens in the main camera, which is going to be advantageous in the real world to hardly anyone. Specifically in bright conditions it may provide a small benefit to videographers, but it’s mostly hype beyond that in my opinion. Gotta’ do those camera spec bumps though, to provide an excuse to upgrade.
