The Popsocket Low Pro is the real deal!

Usually only use my MagSafe Popsocket when browsing/playing Solitaire in bed. I find it too thick to keep on all day, plus I have to take it off to charge on my bedside stand.

The Low Pro fixes both those issues AND is more comfortable for my man size fingers. Another plus is it hides the mark on the back of my Paragon that stopped me from using it. 👍🏻

Very happy with it.

Went with the black, would look better if the metal stand part was offered in orange or blue to match the Pros better but they may well offer that colour choice when Apple's exclusivity ends. Saying that, I'll be upgrading in a few months so can see what colours are available around then.

I placed order too. And this was the response when asked when it will be shipped.

“We sincerely apologize for the delay in shipping your order. A large portion of our inventory that was headed to our Cincinnati warehouse has been awaiting U.S. Customs clearance over the past week. Due to recent changes in customs processing and tariffs, clearance times have unfortunately been inconsistent.

While this has been frustrating for our logistics team as well, we’re actively working with them and our customsbroker to move the shipment through as quickly as possible. We do expect to receive it this week, and your order will ship shortly thereafter.

That said, if you would prefer to cancel or change your order instead, just let us know!

Robin A from Caudabe”
I also sent an email inquiry out of curiosity. The response from "Sarah":

Thanks for reaching out.

Your order should be shipping out next week, you will receive tracking via email once it is out the door. 🙂

Not super helpful, hahaha, also very open-ended.

It doesn't, not through a case onto an Apple MagSafe puck or a Spigen charging stand anyway. May work on a bare phone but the instructions state not to use that way. Probably due to the stand would snap back onto the glass.

Official leather MagSafe wallet works great over it.

The Tango grip looks about the same as the Pop Socket low pro. Anyone try the Tango here?
I've got 3 of them and love them. I've got 2 of the "regular" ones and just got the "Pro" version a couple of days ago that has much denser springs and is more comfortable to hold between your fingers. The pro version is slightly thicker than the regular when collapsed, but still WAY thinner than something like a popsocket.

Some quick snaps for comparison:

Popsocket stowed and popped up

Regular Tango stowed and popped up

And Tango Pro stowed and popped up

Tango pro for the win?
Between the two Tangos? Yes (but I do like the slightly lower profile of the regular).

For using for a long time (watching a show or doing a lot of scrolling on my phone)? The popsocket is still the king.

But if you're leaving it on your phone when you leave the house, either Tango is better since they fold down to be so low profile.

I just picked this up after seeing your post and with it installed on the Apple tech woven I’m getting pass through charging, on the official Apple charging puck. but occasionally, when I take the phone off the charger the pop socket gets stuck on a charger.

Seems it varies by case. Had no joy with Sheath, Spigen Enzo and Dbrand Tank. Haven't tried my Paragon or Supcase UB. I suspect the UB would work as the metal stand is the MagSafe part.

I had the Popsocket stick to the charger too with the Sheath but not the others.

Incidentally, the Popsocket LP allows you to stick to metal surfaces if useful.

I have wasted way too much money on grips over the years.

I still think the Oh Snap 5 is the most comfortable grip but definitely a terrible stand. The magnets are strong enough to not come off of the phone when you use MagSafe mounts. I don't ever charge through it because it gets too hot.

I tried the Snap Grip Stand which is really great as a stand but heavy enough to notice.

The new LowPro Popsocket is nice on paper but I find it uncomfortable like other PopSockets because of the balance of weight on your fingers. Also it sticks to my car MagSafe mount so now I have to remember to take it off and put it back on every car ride. The stand ring doesn't rotate independently of the grip so you have to line it up every time you stick it onto your phone.

The Tango grips get uncomfortable fast but the one handed usability is great for the train. I've had the Tango Pro for a while (I was in their beta group) and it's definitely more comfortable than Popsockets but really only good for short periods of usage. Stand functionality is just as awful as the Oh Snap grips.
