64 minutes, 12 minutes, 5 minutes now 21 minutes WTF come on ISP or Apple, whoever. I been downloading for 30 minutes so far!

Finally 3G works
Finally my iPhone shows full 3G reception - seems I can finally use it to get all the free data my plan includes every month 🙂

iTunes will now show how much space is dedicated to Apps with a Green section 🙂 like music and photos 🙂
2.1 and 3G signal
Just installed 2.1 and my 3G signal at home (West Los Angeles) is now at 5 bars. I used to only get 1 bar before and would switch to Edge while at home. So far so good.

Yup, and just like before, you can click on the colored bar and it will detail the number of items (rather than just size) ... 😉
iPhone int'l question
not sure if anywhere here can answer this, but figured maybe. If I have my iphone here and I move overseas to a country with legal iphones, can I just buy a new sim card there and put it in my US-bought iphone? i.e., will it treat the SIM card like a US DVD player would treat a different region's DVD, or will it recognize that the SIM card is iphone friendly? Anyone know?

I was actually hoping that if MMS and C&P weren't added that S2S would have been on there.....
Anyone notice yet if the "Your Apps stay in the same place instead of being thrown to the last page" f*ck up has indeed been added?
My iPhone is synced with my mac at home. I am at work right now and I can downlad the update but I will have to do it with a windows machine. Will this screw anything up on my phone? Lose data, etc.?

Anyone know if the reception fix is just for the 3G, or whether it's for the 1st Gen also, because my reception is crap whereas my gf's AT&T reception is great.
So turn the feature off, duh
Even if it did happen all you'd have to do is just plug it back in to your computer to restore everything.
In the meantime, I'm just waiting for iTunes to finish backing up my iPhone before it installs the update. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to wait an hour to sync my iPhone!
Could anybody please tell us if the Contacts app delay is gone? someone said it didn't, so I'm worried...

I want to be able to change the sound of various notifications, like you can on every other smartphone! I've got a hundred witty "You've Got Mail" sounds I can't use!
MOST mobile phone providers in the world lock this out. You can send an MMS to an email address, but if you reply to the MMS email (like telephonenumber@company.com) the email to MMS never reaches its end.
no problem with the update. Download about 3 minutes, update around 20 min. New Edge and 3G symbol, besides that, i haven't touched anything yet 🙂
