I know for a fact that the supposed "lyric viewing" change you guys are talking about is no different. It has been like that ever since lyrics was introduced to the iPhone in January. One tap brings up the scrubber and the lyrics if you have them. Double tap flips the album over.

2 posts up, ;)

But im glad someone else can confirm this too...

It was NOT there in 2.0.2.

No way, no how.

I verified it three times today just to make sure I wasn't nuts.

Of course, now I have upgraded to 2.1, and it works like it should. WooT!:)

Yes, it was.

Thanks for the credit!
Great post!

Not sure if this is new but i've never seen it before. You can delete videos from inside the iPhone.

My Bluespoon AX2 headset finally works with VM too! Cheers to Apple for getting a quality update out. You won't find service like that from Palm!

Seems like they may have found this glitch. Is there anyone on 2.1 that has a BT headset working with calls, but still not with visual VM?

Justinomg,

Your musical taste aside, I would like to extend a personal greeting and thanks. The energy you have put into this thread, which appears to be your first post on MR (!) and the good natured demeanor you have exhibited throughout it, are a refreshing change from the typical MR newbie/noob.

I am typically a curmudgeonly smartass, so this may be the last nice thing you see from me.

You should be promoted straight to 6502.

Cheers,

-Rob

LOL..

I love how people are arguing with me when this bug is beyond well documented.

I didn't fail anything.

I know what my iPod was doing and why people continue to argue otherwise is beyond me.

I haven't read through the whole thread as I assume that all the new stuff is being edited and added to the OP.

Great job. Thanks.

Bug doesn't mean it's not there, just means it's not working for some people.

Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean it wasn't there. I know for a FACT it has been because I've used it.

Then why the smart ass answer about how "I failed."

I didn't do anything but have an iPhone that did not work properly. And I wasn FAR from the only one with this exact issue.

And I only noticed the issue with nothing in the headphone jack and listening to the iPod with the build in speaker.

Adjustments to that volume adjusted the ringer volume.

But it is all really moot because it is fixed in 2.1

Yep. This bug was driving both me and my wife crazy (me on my 3G and she on her original). Fixed now :)

Smart ass answers for people acting like smart asses. You were so set in your way of I'M RIGHT DON'T ARGUE WITH ME, when in fact, you weren't right.

Again, just because it didn't work for you DOES NOT mean it was not in 2.0.2, LIKE you claimed.

It was in 2.0.2, just not working for you.

So, you failed.

In the iPod App, and you are playing a song, tapping to bring up the progress bar also automatically displays the lyrics, instead of a double-tap bring it up. The double-tap now takes you to the album that song is part of.

TEG
WRONG

In previous versions, single tap on album artwork also revealed both progress bar and lyrics, whereas double tap revealed album track listing just like in 2.1.

Yes, I am right.

The phone had a bug. Other people have confirmed it.

But man, you must be a serious fan boy to get this worked up over someone claiming the precious iPhone had a bug.

Yea, I failed.

All the posts in this thread saying that the bug in fact was real is proof of that.

Are you that dense as to miss the whole point of what I've been saying?

You said, and I quote word for word

"It was NOT there in 2.0.2.

No way, no how"

Now, tell me, how is it not there, yet many many many people had it?

Plus, let me set something straight. I am not even close to a fan boy, so it's kind of dumb for you to assume so. I have an iPod and an iPhone. No other Apple items exist in my home. I'm on a PC, I own a Insignia TV, and my dishwasher is still filled by hand. Make that 2 things you've failed at.

Whatever dude.

You said, WORD FOR WORD: "Yes, it was. Try another 3 times, because you failed. "

Man.

I just love when someone whines about someone being a smart ass like they are all holier than though, and then, in the end, is nothing more than a smart ass themselves. I mean, two wrongs DO, after all, make a right, RIGHT?

The fact is, you tried to make me look like an idiot by telling me to try another three times as if I don't know what my own damn phone is doing.

But in fairness, I do agree, I should have said "It was NOT in MY 2.0.2."

The word MY would have changed the whole context.

So, from one smart ass to another, I do see what your point was.

Justin you're doing a great job at this.... thanks for the effort and the brilliant screenshots!

Has anyone noticed when you take a screenshot now it makes a camera shutter sound like in mac os x. i don't think this was in the previous versions. sorry if this has already been posted. i haven't read all five pages
